Hi all.
Just a quick reminder that Paul and I are judging the working hunter this Sunday so the yard will be closed, therefore no lessons this Sunday.

Hello all.

just a quick note to give you all a heads up before i advertise on the New Mill Stables page......

I have built a show jumping course that has a double and a triple in it.
Im hoping to have a SJ competition open to ALL current and previous clients/lessons of New Mill as well as our liveries and staff. This includes children and adults!!

Due to us having such little parking,I plan to extend the competition over a period of 2 weeks, maybe a month so once you are ready and feel you have had enough practice, you can compete and your score can be recorded till the closing date and results announced at the end.
This way it allows competitors and their horses to compete in private if they wish reducing pressure on both rider and horse.

There will be two classes, a tiny one and a bigger one. Im not sure on heights yet but im hoping you get the idea.
Normal SJ rules apply. 4 faults for a knock down or refusal, all clear rounds will go forward to a jump off against the clock.

Special New Mill Stables rosettes have been ordered for each class ranging from 1st place to 6th place.

There will be a charge of £5 to enter to cover costs but please let me stress the point,this is an in house FUN competition with no pressure!!!

I love SJ so im looking forward to this so very much!!

Good morning all.
So the groups are as follows.

Thurs. 11am till 12.30pm. Adults dressage and cake.

Sat. 11am till 12.30pm. Lead rein/novice children.

Sat. 1pm till 2.30pm. Intermediate/experienced children.

Sun. 11am till 12.30pm. Adults dressage and cake.

Sun 2.30pm till 4pm. Adults jumping and cake.

There will be a maximum of 8 riders per group so weekly booking is essential.
I strongly suggest adults book asap for Dressage to secure a place due to the seemingly high demand. We are aware we may have to design another dressage group to suit numbers.

Now taking bookings for the 7th. 9th + 10th June.

Well the coloured pens and ruler have come out!!

This is a very rough sketch of how things could possibly work.
Some of you are put in twice as i'm not sure what days would suit you best. Some of you are put twice because you want to go twice :)

If you think i have made a mistake with the grouping please feel welcome to get in touch and let me know...
If i have forgotten or missed anyone then please definitely do get in touch and let me know.

Would be great to encourage more children to join,if you know anyone who could possibly be interested then please pop them in touch.

How does this sound...

Adults dressage - Thursdays 11am till 12.30pm.

Childrens lessons to include flatwork, jumping, games and small hacks. - Saturdays 11am till 12.30am.

Adults jumping -Sundays 11am till 12.30am.

Will this suit you all?
Is there anything else i could offer.

I'm planning on supplying cake for us all but I would love it if you brought food etc with you and picnic'd with us. Think the children would enjoy lunch followed by a play in the arena together etc. Please feel welcome.

If all this sounds suitable, then im ready to start on Thursday the 7th of June.

Cant wait to be back :)

Hi all.

As many of you already know,we are hoping to start up some exciting new group lessons here at New Mill.
We already have a very exciting group of ladies forming,ready to aim towards some dressage!!
Hoping we can have some adults interested in a group jumping lesson too??

Very importantly, Im hoping we can get a fantastic children's group together where the children will not only have access to flat and jumping tuition each week they will also have the opportunity to hack out and take part in games practice too.

Each group lesson will be approx an hour and a half in duration and cost £15 per person.

We have a 60M by 45M all weather arena with a full set of jumps/poles and some interesting obstacles riders can tackle, as well as a fantastic river we can use for training and quite hacking we can use for relaxing.
(We will also eat cake!!!)
If you think you may be interested please feel welcome to send us a message on here or get in touch over the phone.

Any further ideas are very much more than welcome, we really want to offer what people want so please,please feel welcome to share your thoughts and ideas.
