I don’t know if you’re like me at all but I tend to be a bit all or nothing when it comes to life, and recently things have been a bit go go go and I haven’t found a moment to breath!! So this past week I’ve been making a conscious effort to slooow down!!
What this has looked like for me is;
✨ 30 minutes no phone in the morning, I am not getting sucked into notifications, messages, emails, I get 30 minutes to let my brain just be
✨gentle yoga flows before work, short yin practices that allow me to be in my body before the rush of the work day takes hold
✨reading for 30 minutes before bed, I need time for my brain to slow down and staring at my phone doesn’t help with that, so we have a no phone rule before bed too, let me be whisked away into a good fantasy book!!
✨taking Kobe for a walk and letting him take the lead, he takes us where we want to go, I don’t rush his sniffs, we go on his time, which funnily enough, is a lot slower than mine 🤣
Life is about balance, sometimes we fly through things and sometimes we have to rest, I’m not so good at the slowing down and resting part, so this is a reminder to me as much as it is to you, to slow down, pause and breathe. You’ve got this 🩷
