Counties 2 sees Tottonians 2 and Ventnor come up and Eastleigh, Gosport & Fareham and Guernsey 2 come down

What a fantastic day at the Ladies Touch League tournament hosted by New Milton RFC! 🏉

Around 70 players from seven Hampshire clubs came together for a brilliant day of competitive and inclusive rugby, with plenty of great games, teamwork and smiles all round.

A special mention goes to our Barbarians team in the England purple shirts, kindly donated by RFU Chairman Matt W. This initiative has been introduced to help women build confidence and gain experience playing under competitive match rules in a fun and supportive environment. The squad is made up of players from across the league, providing opportunities for those new to competition or looking for extra game time.

A huge thank you to all the volunteers who helped set up and run the tournament. The positive feedback from clubs across the league is a testament to the effort put in behind the scenes.

We’re already looking forward to the next round on Sunday 28th June at Aldershot & Fleet RFC! 👍

Who ready for the New Milton leg of the Ladies Touch Tournament series? 🤩

Come down to the club tomorrow to see 8 teams go head to head! Club open from 12:30, kick off at 1:30pm 🙌🏻

The bar will be open and fingers crossed for some sunshine too ☀️

We will also have a Barbarians team so if there are any women that aren’t part of a club but want to try it out, bring your boots along! 💚

Two of our ex-C**ts, Toby and Max are currently in AUS, on the Sunshine Coast playing Rugby for Noosa Dolphins rugby club 🇦🇺

Both start for the reserves (2nd team) but have made appearances off the bench for their A grade side (first team) 🙌🏻

Both the A grade and reserves teams are unbeaten so far this season 😮‍💨

Noosa play their rugby in Sunshine Coast Rugby Union league starting in April and the season will finish early September as part of a grand final day 🐬

The boys will be out there for 6 months in total before coming back to UK to start University 🎓

This Wednesday is Girls Beach Rugby 🏉

This week we’re heading to the beach for rugby in the sunshine ☀️

There will be no fitness session at New Milton this Wednesday. Instead, all girls are invited to join us at Sobo Beach for rugby, fitness, swimming and a fun evening by the sea 🌊

🗓 Wednesday 27th May
⏰ 6pm to 8pm
📍 Sobo Beach

Head south from Sobo Beach Café to the sandy section with no stones 🏖️

We’ll have a couple of disposable BBQs going, so feel free to bring burgers, buns, sausages or snacks to cook 🍔

Free to join 💙
Swimming included 🌊
This is not a drop-off session. Parents and guardians must stay for swimming safety ⚠️

Come along, get involved and enjoy a great evening on the beach with us 💚
