MOTIVATION TO TRAIN. (Read below 👇🏻)
Something I get asked a lot , is how do you stay motivated to train?
First of all ,and most importantly , you’ve got to make sure you’re actually trying to better yourself because you want too , a lot of people don’t realise that they aren’t actually doing this because they want too , but because they feel they have too , motivation isn’t something you can just get over night , you have to want to achieve the goal first , in order to achieve the goal.
Now , if you are motivated but sometimes might feel low energy or lack of enthusiasm, here are somethings that have worked for me and my clients to stay consistent and stay motivated.
1 . Cold showers. 🚿 🥶 / by far the best thing for productivity and mental health , a 2-3 minute cold shower a day , will not only give you amazing health benefits , but will give you lots of energy , and a huge rush of endorphins. This is something I do every day in order to stay energised and keep a clear mind.
2 . Sleep 😴 / a lot of people I speak to who are struggling to stay motivated , will tell me there getting below 7 hours sleep a night , if you’re trying to train , work , and live you’re life , you have to give you’re body enough time to recover , for me you have to be getting 7 or more hours in order to maintain a healthy lifestyle and give your body enough time to recover.
3 . Training type 🏋️♂️ / something people don’t realise is that weight training isn’t for everybody. If you don’t actually enjoy the training you’re doing , then you won’t be able to excel and achieve those goals as efficiently as you could be. Giving yourself different methods of training throughout the week , such as swimming , boxing , running etc , may be what you need to enjoy your training , doing a preferred training method maybe 3 times a week then a weight session once a week , may be the way you hit your goals , don’t be afraid to ask a coach for a preferred method of training.
