⚽️ A great start for our Under 7s! ⚽️

What a fantastic morning of football for the boys as they got their first fixtures of the season under their belts! 👏

There was plenty of energy, teamwork and some great moments throughout the morning. It’s brilliant to see the boys developing, enjoying their football and growing together as a team. 🖤🤍💜

We’re currently looking to welcome a couple more players to the squad. If your son is interested in getting into football and joining a great group of boys, please get in touch! ⚽️🙌

⚽️ Well done to our Under 6s! ⚽️

A fantastic first set of fixtures for the boys this season! 👏 The team had a brilliant morning of football, showing lots of enthusiasm, teamwork and, most importantly, enjoying themselves on the pitch. 🖤🤍💜

We’re looking to add a couple more players to the squad, so if your son is interested in starting football, we’d love to hear from you!

Our U7 Girls had their first ever games this morning at Cefn Hengoed Leisure Centre . Brilliant effort all round of 4 mini games . We got our first goals and a great first experience of the match environment.Well done girls.

Our under 11s girls were at a damp Penyrheol this morning.

We now have enough to split into two teams. Team 1 at 9am players Taly, Morriston and Skewen. They beat Skewen 4-1 with goals from Emma
(2) and Lizzie (2).

Team 2 played Taly, Loughor, Rockspur and Sandfields drawing 1-1 with Sandfields with a goal from Olivia.

Our U13s took on Loughor today at Parc William and another top performance from the girls on a wet morning. The game finished Loughor 0-8 Garden Village. We did score a few more goals but the score is capped at 8 nil. Hattie was our player of the match with 5 goals. Our other goal scorers were Jessica with 2, Evie with 2, Nieve 1 and Florence 1. Several assists from Seren today as well. We were very dangerous out wide with Belle, Evie and Annabelle down the wings getting in behind their defence. Excellent defensive display from us with a solid performance from Sophia at centre back and a clean sheet for Penny in goals. Well done all, see you Wednesday for training.

Today our U12 girls welcomed Skewen to Stafford Common for a friendly, and the girls were up for it right from the start.

We came out strong and played some really good football, with some great passing and movement right from Mya in goal, through the defence, midfield and into attack.

Elsie grabbed our first with some great determination, battling away and finding the back of the net. ⚽️👏

The girls were strong in their tackles throughout and always looked to battle and win that second ball. Our wingers caused plenty of problems as well, keeping the ball well, taking players on and putting some great crosses into the box.

Sofia got our second with a nice little finish before adding another not long after with a great strike from distance. ⚽️⚽️

There were some really good runs out from defence too, with the girls looking confident on the ball and trying to play our way up the pitch.

Skewen definitely made us work at times though and caused us some problems going forward, scoring two really good goals of their own.

Ava added another two goals, while Elsie grabbed her second of the game. Amy was unlucky not to get herself on the scoresheet with a great free kick that brought an excellent save from the Skewen keeper, but Emily was there following up to tap home the rebound. 👏⚽️

Overall, another really good all-round performance from the girls. The work rate from every single player today was spot on and everyone worked hard for each other, battled for everything and never stopped. Plenty of good football, strong tackles and some really good movement throughout.

⚽️ Garden Village Girls U6 ⚽️

Today was the first outing for our Under 6 girls, we fielded two Garden Village AFC teams; Under 6 & Under 6 stars, playing against Mumbles Rangers & Loughor Rovers Girls AFC 💪👏

The whole team played brilliantly, showing some excellent attacking and defending throughout. Most importantly, they worked together, supported each other and had lots of fun as a team! 💜⚽️

Sunday morning football is back! 🖤🤍

And, in true Sunday football fashion, the rain decided to make an appearance too! 🌧️ Thankfully, we pretty much got away with it as our U8s girls team headed over to Cwrt Herbert for a 9am start.

The girls faced CKSV, Gorseinon, Evans & Williams and Johnstown in four really competitive games — and there was hardly anything between the teams all morning! We finished with three draws and just one narrow defeat, which was a brilliant effort for our first games back. 👏

It was also debut day for the Smitham sisters; Shelby & Sydney, who both settled into the team brilliantly and looked right at home from the start. There were some lovely touches from both of them too, including a cheeky little heel flick in the build-up to one of Reeva’s goals… straight off FIFA! 🎮⚽️

Evelyn came soooo close on a couple of occasions to getting herself on the scoresheet, while Rosie & Gwen were superb at the other end with some really solid defensive work and goalkeeping 💪

Most importantly, the girls worked hard, played some really good football and competed brilliantly across all four games.

Great work, team! A fantastic first Sunday back — plenty more to come! 🖤🤍⚽
