From Exhaustion to Energy – My Thyroid Journey 💛
Two years ago, I was completely worn out.
I don’t actually have a thyroid anymore — it was removed after thyroid cancer. I still take levothyroxine daily, but what many people don’t realise is that the symptoms of having no thyroid are often the same as having an underactive one.
And I was feeling every one of them: constant tiredness, brain fog and barely enough energy to get through the day — let alone show up for my son or grow my business.
But through prayer, trial and error, and a willingness to listen to what my body really needed, I began making small but powerful changes.
I adjusted what I ate — and not just eating better, but eating smarter.
I realised I thought I was getting enough protein… but I wasn’t. When I started bringing in real, high-protein foods, things began to shift. My body started to respond.
Alongside the right foods, I also added a few specific supplements, including amino acids, to help my body absorb and use the nutrients more effectively.
And wow — what a difference it made.
Now I have the energy to enjoy full days with my son, be fully present with my clients, and even by 9pm I’m still going strong. I feel like me again! My alarm goes off at 6am and I actually feel awake!
So if you’re a Christian woman who’s struggling with low energy, mood swings, or that lingering sense that something just isn’t quite right — please know you’re not alone. Healing takes time, but with the right tools, the right mindset, and a lot of grace… it is possible.
