Good first day with a new guest looking to get into trad climbing. BB Zawn to start with but the swell was bigger than anticipated, so after a couple of routes there, we headed to Giltar Slabs for the afternoon. Looking forward to what tomorrow brings.

Penllechwen (White Slate Head), on the North Pembrokeshire coast line isn’t white, nor comprises of slate and has a fairly arduous approach (for Pembrokeshire).

Intro to trad climbing today, for an experienced indoor climber.

The question is, will he ever be the same again…?

Some surprisingly exposed positions for a slab crag, on today’s intro to trad climbing for a couple of experienced indoor climbers. Giltar Slab on the Penally sea cliffs of South Pembrokeshire proved the perfect venue to go through and practice the process of trad climbing. Same process, different situation.
