Today we put to rest a legend of the Narberth sports community and a great bloke.

We would like to send our sincere condolences to the Hughes family on such a sad day 💙

It is with great sadness the family announce the peaceful passing at home on Saturday 22nd August 2026 of Mr Gareth Hughes affectionately known as Gary, aged 68 years of Carmarthen Road, Kilgetty.

Dearly loved Father of Daniel and partner Alice, Ben and partner Beki.
Wonderful Gampi to Madi, Eva and Ellis.

The funeral service will take place on Friday 11th September at Parc Gwyn Crematorium, Narberth at 10.00am. There will be family flowers only with donations, if so desired for The Paul Sartori Hospice at Home

🔵 Brilliant Away Win For Our 2nds 🔵

Pembroke borough 2nds 1 - 4 Narberth 2nds

The seconds got back to winning ways with a tough away trip against a very solid Pembroke Borough.
It was the return of Jordan Williams after being sidelined for the whole of last season with an Achilles injury. It didn’t take him long to get on the score sheet, putting us 1-0 up inside the first 10 minutes.
The first half had many chances but there were no more goals before the break. Only downside of the first half was Liam Phillips coming off with a nasty knee injury.
The second half had a few more goals and in the 55th minute Josh Layzell got on the scoresheet yet again. 5 minutes later there was a goal for our man of the match Oscar Wills who made it 3-0 after 60 minutes.
16 year old Jake Lewis also got on the score sheet with his first senior goal and made it 4-0 with 10 minutes to go. Borough did manage to get a consolation goal in stoppage time by Wayne Boswell, which made it 4-1.

🔵 Saturday Football Returned With A Bang 🔵

Narberth 1sts 2 - 1 Neyland 1sts

The firsts got their second win of the season with a home win against newly promoted Neyland. We didn’t get off to the start we wanted with Neyland scoring in the first 2 minutes with a cross/shot that went into the top corner.
In took us 20 minutes to get over that and start playing the attacking football that we want to be playing. The first half had some half chances and a couple of long range efforts which were stopped by a very good Neyland goalkeeper!
Going in 1-0 down, the boys came back put fighting and with a couple of changes and formation switch the boys come alive. Charlie Phillips played a through ball which was missed by the Neyland goalkeeper and Llew jones was on the end of it to put the ball in the back of the net. 10 minutes later we were awarded a penalty and it was calmly slotted home by Lloyd Hughes. There was a late push for an equaliser by Neyland but the whole team got behind the ball and worked hard to get the three points. The three subs who came on for us, were full of energy and changed the game🔵🔵🔵

Yesterday we had our new training tops to use for training and match day warm ups. We love the new look and are very happy that we get so much local support.
