As the evenings get shorter and we squeeze every last bit of light out of a Tuesday, the Blaze energy absolutely carried us. Two pitches, four teams, and that unmistakable buzz that makes these sessions feel golden, even as the sun disappears faster each week.

A huge welcome to Simon, who picked up the game so quickly it’s almost like he’s been secretly studying from the sidelines while his son became a national champion. You’re a natural, brilliant to finally have you joining in.

🥇 Welcome Back, Hannah
So good to have Hannah back from Vichy, where she won gold with the England Women’s 40s team. An incredible achievement, and even better to see you back on the pitch with us.

💛 Welcome Back, Isaac
After a few months off recovering from his operation, Isaac returned tonight and it was fantastic having you back out there.

🎓 Welcome Back, Lloydie
A big welcome back to Lloyd, who hasn’t played socially with us for at least four years while working on his PhD. Amazing to have you on a Tuesday again and an extra well‑done for achieving your Level 3 refereeing qualification. Huge achievement!!

Another brilliant Tuesday night, four teams, two pitches, and a whole lot of Blaze energy. Everyone turned up buzzing, the pace was high from the first whistle, and the atmosphere was exactly what makes these sessions special.

Another brilliant Tuesday night full of classic Blaze energy, big numbers, big smiles, and everyone bringing that trademark buzz that makes these sessions so good. The vibe was high from the first whistle to the last.

Mills has officially returned after working in Norway on a cruise ship, and it was so good to have her back on the pitch.

A huge well‑done to everyone who represented their country this weekend, you made Blaze proud.

Great to be back and get down to see everyone at Touch on Tuesday - what a fantastic evening to be able to enjoy the summer sun with a cracking group of people.
Thanks to Philippe for opening up and well done to those that did the pre session fitness with Matt 👏👏👏. Thanks to Matt, Bob and Rich for getting the session up and running and to those that jumped in to referee 🙏🙏
Welcome back to Josh after several years away - it was such a nice surprise to see you. Also “thanks” to Isaac for popping along to have a catch up - happy recovery.
Lovely to see Bex back from the recent European Championships in Vichy (Euroselect Womens Open).
We also had Adam (England Mixed 20s) and Seren Nurse (Wales mixed U15s) down doing some final prepping for the upcoming European Youth Touch Championships being held at the University of Warwick (kicks off today).
We would also like to wish our Blaze touch stars Izzy Jones (England 18s Girls), Esme Ashley (England Mixed 20s) all the very best - along with our frequent guests Noah Wheatley (England 18s Boys), Ffion Wheatley (England Mixed 15s) and Dylan (England 18s Boys).
Blaze will also be well represented on the Match official front too with Siâny, Dunc and Lloydie all donning their referee tops to take control of a number of the games.

🔥 What a Night at Blaze! 🔥

What a fantastic turnout at training this week! With enough players to fill two pitches, the energy and enthusiasm from everyone made for a brilliant session.

It was great to see experienced players working alongside newer members, offering guidance, encouragement and support throughout the evening. The teamwork really showed, leading to some fantastic scores and some great passages of play.

We’d like to wish Lewis a safe trip back to the USA as he heads back to start his sophomore year!

The club is growing every week, and it’s amazing to see everyone’s confidence and skills developing together. Whether you’re completely new to touch rugby or have played before, there’s a place for you at Blaze.
