On Saturday (13/7) We were well represented at Adderley BC in the Whitchurch League Newbie Competition for players with 2 years or less experience.
Our four entrants were Sue Heselwood, Nigel Gardner, David Hughes & Paul Mullins.
All four players progressed through their round robin groups into the knockout rounds.
The round of sixteen saw Sue, Nigel & Paul all win and go into the Quarter finals, David was sadly eliminated by the eventual competition winner.
The Quarter finals saw both Sue & Nigel exit the competition and Paul winning to progress to the Semis. (Sue being another Park Road player who fell victim to the eventual competition winner.)
Paul won again in his Semi final made it to the Final.
Only to be beaten, once again by the conqueror of three Quarters of Our representatives and the deserved winner of the competition Chris Dodds of Hodent BC.
We are proud of our players performances, and they were all true ambassadors for our club, Well played to ALL four of you!
Hopefully next years competition can be equally well represented by Park Road players, It’s a really well organised event and a good challenge against bowlers from other clubs, who are of a similar standard.
