New Tool Friday:
Got to be honest I've always had a bit of an issue with getting the bars bang on straight inline with the wheel, with a bit of towing and frowning, and a bit of closing one eye then the other to what I thought was align.👀😉🤔

Well no more guessing now I've got this little beauty. ❤️I do love a gadget, especial one that will actually be very very useful. 🛠🚲🚴👍

Got to meet theses three happy chaps this morning for a bit of mechanical help.🛠🚲😄🚴🚴🚴

They are doing Lands End to John O Groats Raising awareness and money for prostrate cancer UK, as one of them is hopeful in remission from this nasty disease.
And said if hadn't had been for Sir Chris Hoy making the awareness of this disease, he wouldn't have got checked out. 🙌👏

They are following the Sustrans NCN route all the way to bonny Scotland 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿
Good trip guys, and hopefully the weather will be as kind as it was today??

Fridays musings. Two Ladies bikes 75 years apart. Amazing how far we have come, but also how the basic design hasn't really changed that much, apart from the obvious technical innovations. 🛠️🚲

This is what I do love❤️ about working in the bike industry, and mending bikes. I never know what is going to turn up in the same week for me to get my teeth into.🚲⚙️🔍

Just goes to show how the bike has lasted as a means of transport and fun, and what a piece of mechanical innovation that has lasted the generations.👏🚴

Just because its nice looking bike, and its Friday:
Before ( blue Moda🟦) After ( Orange DT swiss🟧). Loved the finished result of this lovely respray and re build job just finished. 🛠👍👀

Customer wanted a complete change of look, also wanted the bike to match his DT Swiss wheelset. A very happy customer at pick up with the results.😮🧡🚴

Sometimes, just a new spray job can transform the look and makes you feel like its a new bike.👍🚴👏😃

This is why we are here. 🛠👀
Customer brought this in for an assembly as purchased from the internet. Saw some damage on the front wheel ( spoke bent out of the box 📦)and wanted it replacing.

But didn't notice the rear wheel rim cracked and a big flat spot. As well as the rear derailleur hanger bent , looks like the bike has taken a big impact in transit possibly? 😮👎

Luckily he had the preservation to get the bike assemble and checked over before he tried to venture out and about.

If in doubt, and have bought a bike off the internet its always worth getting it checked over and set up correctly before heading out. 👍🛠🚴

Spring is finally upon us and now is the time to enjoy the great outdoors ☀️

We are now running a small Ridgeback Electron e-bike fleet for hire to enjoy the Cheshire lanes, details include:

✔️ Powerful Shimano Steps E5000 Electric System
✔️ Range of upto 60 miles on 1 charge
✔️ Impressive Disc Brakes
✔️ Mudguards
✔️ Lights
✔️ Pannier Frame
✔️ Full adjustable to suit riders from 5'4" to 6'2"

You can hire a bike, or two for a for the week ( Friday to Friday) for the great value of £100 each for 7 days 👏
A deposit is require on booking, which is refundable at the end of the hire period.
We just also ask for a proof of ID, either a Driving licence or Passport at the time of collection.

I know it doesn't feel like it at the moment, but Spring is fast approaching us 🙏🤞.
We are still doing a winter service package for February.

Don't get caught out ( when spring has finally sprung ) and pull that bike out of winter hibernation to find its needs a service.👀🛠️
