A sarcoid removal in December 2025 left this horse with a wound that no matter what the client did just would not stay knitted together.
A couple of weeks on the Class 4 laser and this horse is now using the treadmill daily and being lunged whilst the scar is staying closed!! 🔦
After 9 long months off work he will soon be going home to his owner and back to being under saddle once more 💥
Another example of how Class 4 laser can help speed up healing times on open wounds.

Weekly round up at Rookery 🐴
We’ve been busy with treadmill sessions, electrotherapy sessions and livery rehabs.
As well as this we had the lovely Laura from Corevelio here using the facilities for content for her amazing business and rehab platform (that we use here at Rookery).
The much awaited wet weather has turned the horses into swamp monsters 😂
Mia is heading off on holiday next week (have a lovely time Mia) and we have the lovely Esme back joining us 🎉

🌈🌈 Rainbow Bridge Rememberance Day 🌈🌈

Today is 28th August which is a special day for remembering those special equids that hold a special place in our heart.
The team at Rookery Equine all have experienced heart break from losing a special character in their life.
This is Zoe - one that left this earth at 18 years young. A fantastic mare that taught Grace the discipline and trust needed to make a partnership special. Having won many competitions together, Zoe even bowed out with a win in her last BS competition.

Did you know that we have been offering student demo days for years now.
Having welcomed international students, vet physio students, RVN, vet and college rehabilitation students from all over the world.
They get first hand experience of hydrotherapy as well as the vast electrotherapy’s we have available here at Rookery.
We are now soon to be offering CPD days so if you are a student struggling with completing work experience hours then these may work for you.

Cooler weather also brings wet fields, making their skin vulnerable to seasonal conditions like mud fever and rain scald. That’s where halotherapy (salt therapy) can make a real difference.
