💎✨ Aston junior girls shining bright! ✨💎

A huge well done to Isabella and Annie, who have both been recognised among the standout batting performances in Cheshire District Cricket this summer! 🏏💚

⭐ Isabella — the second-highest individual batting performance in the U15s, with an unbeaten 52*.

⭐ Annie — the third-highest individual batting performance in the U11s, with an unbeaten 40*.

What makes this even more special for us at Aston is that both girls started their cricketing journeys right here at Aston as juniors. 🏏💚 Watching them develop, grow in confidence and go on to represent their district is something we can all be incredibly proud of.

It’s a fantastic example of what our junior section is all about — giving young players the opportunity to learn, develop and enjoy their cricket, while helping them progress to the highest level they can. 👏💪

We’re so proud of you both, Isabella and Annie! 🌟🏏

And a huge thank you to all our junior coaches, past and present, who have supported the girls along the way. Your time, encouragement and commitment really does make a difference. 💚👏

🌟🏏 A great day for our Aston girls! 💚

Our girls had a fantastic time at the Northwich Girls Festival, with a young team including some girls only in Year 2 — and they all stepped up brilliantly! 👏

It was fantastic to see them enjoying their cricket, supporting each other and showing such great team spirit while representing Aston Cricket Club so proudly. Most importantly, they had lots of fun! 💚🏏

A huge thank you to our brilliant coaches Jo and Caz, for all their time, encouragement and support throughout the season — both at training and at the festivals the girls have taken part in. We really appreciate everything you do. 👏

It’s fantastic to see a girls’ team developing at Aston and to watch the girls grow in confidence, skills and enjoyment of the game. We’re so proud of every one of them and excited to see what the future holds! 💚🏏🔥

🏏 Aston Cricket Club Coaches Recognised at the Cheshire Cricket Collective Awards 2026! 🏏

We are absolutely delighted to share that two of our wonderful Aston Cricket Club coaches have been recognised at the Cheshire Cricket Collective Awards 2026, held today at Old Trafford. 🎉

A huge congratulations to Jamie Hunt and Hugh Ratcliffe, who were both awarded Highly Commended following their nominations recognising the outstanding coaching, commitment and support they give to our players and our club. 👏🏆

Jamie has been a fantastic coach with our U9s, while Hugh works with our U13s, and both give so much of their time, knowledge and enthusiasm to help our young cricketers develop and, most importantly, enjoy their cricket.

We really are incredibly lucky to have such a fantastic team of coaches across our junior section:

🏏 SCJCL U15s Cup Final 🏆

A fantastic evening of junior cricket at Aston CC as we were proud to host the SCJCL U15s Cup Final against Haslington.

A Huge congratulations to Haslington CC on a well-deserved victory.

To our U15s – you should be incredibly proud of yourselves. You represented Aston CC with commitment, determination and great sportsmanship throughout the competition, pushing a strong Haslington side all the way.

A special mention to our younger players who stepped up brilliantly for the occasion – Billy, Rupert, Charlie V and Charlie J. You all played your part and should be incredibly proud of your contributions.

To our older players – Harry, William and Thomas – this match marks a fitting celebration of your commitment to junior cricket at Aston CC. We wish you every success as you move on to senior cricket. Enjoy the Seniors!

🏆U9s SCJCL Cup Winners🏆

What a performance from our U9s! 🏆💚🏏

The boys were outstanding from start to finish against a fantastic Winnington side, who have been brilliant all season and were worthy finalists.

A superb display in the field, including three excellent catches, backed up by disciplined bowling, restricted Winnington to just 73 after they had scored over 220 the previous night. We then chased the target with calm, sensible batting, great running between the wickets and some classy shots to get over the line.

It was a true team effort, with every single player playing their part. The teamwork, support and celebrations for each other’s successes summed up this group perfectly. Theo proudly lifted the cup as captain, while Max was named Best Batter and Noah Best Bowler after an outstanding spell of 3 wickets for just 7 runs.

To top it all off, our team included just four Year 4s, alongside three Year 3s and even a Year 2. The future is certainly bright for this talented group! 💪🏏💚

🌞🏏 Wow… what a busy few weeks we’ve had at the club, and there’s still plenty more to come!

The sunshine has finally brought those proper cricket club summer vibes, even if it’s been a little too hot at times (and the ground is definitely hoping for a good watering soon! 💦).

It’s an exciting fortnight ahead as both our U9s and U15s are through to their knockout finals! A huge congratulations to everyone involved, and we wish both teams the very best of luck. We’re all behind you! 💚🖤

At the weekend, our development squad took part in the Oulton Park U8 Festival, entering two teams. It was fantastic to see so many smiles, great teamwork and growing confidence. Every player represented the club brilliantly, and it’s clear we have a fantastic group of young cricketers coming through.

Friday also marked the final All Stars session of the season. It was a lovely way to finish, with medals, certificates and some very welcome ice lollies to help everyone cool down! 🍦🏅

A huge thank you to all of our All Stars, parents, coaches Dan, Bella, Jo and Jamie and volunteers who have made the programme such a success. It’s been wonderful watching the children develop their skills, make new friends and, most importantly, have lots of fun. We hope you’ve all had a brilliant few weeks, and we can’t wait to welcome you back next season!

☀️ Junior Training Tonight! 🏏

It’s our final All Stars session of the season! What a fantastic few months it’s been. It’s been brilliant watching all our young cricketers grow in confidence, develop their skills and, most importantly, have so much fun along the way. Well done to every one of our All Stars! ⭐

With another hot evening forecast, please make sure everyone comes with:
🧢 A hat
💧 A full drinks bottle
🧴 Sun cream already applied

We’ll be taking plenty of hydration breaks throughout the evening to keep everyone safe in the heat.

And don’t forget… the BBQ will be fired up too! 🌭🍔

The sun’s (hopefully) out, the cricket’s on, and yes… the Sorrento Pizza Van is back! 🍕

By now you all know the drill—don’t be the one staring longingly at someone else’s pizza because you were “just about to order.” Get those orders in early! 😄

⭐ We’ve also got a special guest dropping into our All Stars session tonight. No spoilers… you’ll have to come along and find out!

🏏 Midweek Club Update 🏏

What a hot week it had been, both on and off the field! ☀️

A huge congratulations to our U9s, who booked their place in the final with a fantastic semi-final victory. An outstanding effort from everyone, especially in the soaring temperatures! 👏💙

A special mention also goes to our U9/U8 Development Team, who played their very first match away at Malpas on Sunday following the tournament a few weeks back. It was a fantastic opportunity for the players to put everything they’ve been learning into practice. It was great to see them working together as a team, growing in confidence, and most importantly, enjoying their cricket. Well done to everyone involved! 🌟

We also had a brilliant evening at Astonbury. The music was fantastic, the food was enjoyed by all, and it was great to see so many people supporting the club. A massive thank you to every volunteer who gave up their time to make the event such a success – we couldn’t do it without you. ❤️

Now, we go again! This week’s calendar is packed with league fixtures, and tomorrow our U15s take to the field in their cup semi-final. We wish the players and coaches the very best of luck – we’re all behind you! 💪🏏

It’s set to be an exciting All Stars session this Friday as we welcome a special guest! 👀 We’ll keep you guessing for now… you’ll have to wait and see who joins us! ⭐ We can’t wait to see another great turnout.

This week also means the return of the pizza van at training🍕 With the temperatures looking a little kinder, it’s the perfect chance to grab a pizza after training. Make sure you get your orders in early—you know it’s going to be a busy one!
