Job well done today. The track is clear and the worst parts scraped and fully rideable again.

Thanks again to Scott @ Hamilton Plant Hire - Inverness and to Willie Lean Ground works. Perhaps the council can keep on top of it and not get in that state again 🤞🏻

It's just over 3yrs since the track was renovated and looking amazing but since then the vandals ruined the benches and have tried to set fire to the notice board.
It's use became very infrequent as did the maintenance which was ultimately down to 2 of us.
When I was down 2 nights ago I'd say the council have forgotten about it also as the weeds were stood over 6ft high in places.

However, I received a message from a friend who's kids use it quite often, even in its state, saying he was down for the 1st time in a long time a few weeks back and was shocked by the current state of it. He runs his own business Hamilton Plant Hire - Inverness and offered a day's service to clear it back again. Willie Lean who helped last time also offered a machine for the day too.
I popped down just after 9 this morning and the guys are well on their way with sorely needed haircut

Extremely disappointed and gutted to see that vandalism has struck again at the track.
So not only have the 5 donated benches been reduced to 2, the safety notice has now been targeted.

It's a year today since the track was renovated and it's a constant battle with the grass/weeds and hogweed. We have got the majority of it done between the 2 of us but still plenty to do so as Steve has said in the club post if anyone feels like lending a hand then feel free to pop down it would be greatly appreciated

Steve and I spent the day down at the track strimming the grass that is extremely overgrown. We made a little dent in it but it's going to take alot more time so if anyone has some spare time and would like to help out with clearing feel free to pop down and get stuck in would be extremely appreciated.
