It's that time of year to plan some spring courses. Prices staying as last year. Weekend course £150 with 10% discount for club members. Includes high quality Pyranha and P&H Kayaks and Werner Paddles. We can supply spray decks, cags and helmets if required. Wet suits available for hire for a small additional fee from a local charity.

27th/28th April Itroduction to Kayaking. This course is aimed at those new to the sport or with limited experience. Focusing on good foundations to take you to the next level.

4th/5th May Intro to White Water. This course is tailored to those with the foundations of kayaking. This could be from our previous course or other experiences. We will focus on the key skills to safely paddle on Grade1/2 and safety knowledge to peer paddle within a club setting.

11/12 May. Intro to Sea Kayaking. This course is tailored to those with the foundations of kayaking. This could be from our Intro course or other experience. We will focus on the key skills for sea kayaking and safety knowledge to peer paddle within a club setting.

We can offer a range of Safety and Rescue and Coach Education. Paddlesport Safety and Rescue, Paddlesport Instructor and Leader. Coach Award, Sheltered Water Discipline Specific, WW Discipline Specific WWSR and a range of personal performance awards in Sea, Open Canoe and WW.

We have 1 space left on an Intro to Moving water course on Easter Weekend. 8/9th April.
First day will be on flat water developing our basic kayak skills, then moving onto edge control, dynamic paddling and recovery strokes. Sunday will take us too moving water where we put these skills into action.
Coat is £150, 10% discount to club paddlers. PM for more information or booking. Lookinh forward to paddling with you!

Its a cold wet and windy day here. Time to plan for longer days and warmer weather. So far we have the following courses planned.
1/2nd April Introduction to Kayaking- this course if for those new to Kayaking and looking to develop basic skills.

8/9th April Introduction to moving water. This course will develop basic skills and apply them to moving water then on our second day as you progress perhaps some more bumpy frothy stuff.

15th16th April is an Intro to Sea Kayaking. This course will develop skills basic into sea kayaks and the salty environment.

These courses include use of high quality Pyranha/P&H Kayaks, paddles, and equipment. Wetsuits are advised. If you don't have one they can be arranged from a local charity for a small donation.

Courses coast £150 with a 10% discount to club members. Small group number to ensure high quality coaching.

May will bring our season of Instructor/Coach Training, safety and rescue courses.

6th May BC Paddlesport Safety and Rescue Training. This replaces Foundation Safety and Rescue Training for 2023. This course is a prerequisite for the BC Paddlesport Instructor Course but also invaluable to all paddlers. £120 with 10% discount to club paddlers

13th/14th May BC Core Coach Award. This training is the first step to becoming a Coach and brings the skills and knowledge around 'how' to coach. £275 with 10% discount for club members. From here aspirant coaches will take their knowledge into the appropriate environment with a discipline specific training.

27/28th May Sheltered Water Discipline Specific Training is available for those taking this pathway £275 with 10% discount for club members.

3/4th June BC Paddlesport Instructor Taining. This 2 day course gives you the tolls to introduce beginners in very sheltered water environments. This course can be undertaken by over 14 unlike coach courses which are 16. £275 with 10% discount to club members.

We will schedule White Water Discipline specific training and WWSR/WW Leader if there is interest.

There may be sportscotland and High Life Highland funding available for active volunteers to become qualified instructors or coaches.
