It’s not too late to book! 🐴
We have a few spaces remaining on our last summer camp.

Level 2 upwards: Monday 17th – Tuesday 18th August
Practical training will be given on:
- how to check horses over for injuries and general wellbeing
- picking out feet, grooming and tacking up
- mucking out and preparing stables for the next day
- washing down a horse after riding in the heat
- preparing a horse for a show
- walking as SJ course
- Stable management theory – learn how to care for a pony (feeding, grooming, pony health and wellbeing)
- Riding sessions – may include riding a dressage test, how to a jump course, pole work, lateral work and the option of a hack.

What an incredible few days they have had🐴🧡

Some of the Barton End Stables horses and riders have just returned from an amazing time at Minchinhampton’s Summer Pony Camp.

They’ve made memories that will last a lifetime, built new friendships, grown in confidence, and strengthened the special bonds they share with their horses. These are the moments that make being part of the Barton End family so special.

This is exactly what Barton End Stables is all about and what Abbie has built over the past 25 years – creating a supportive environment where horses and riders learn, grow and achieve together. Whether you’re a child taking your first steps in the saddle or an adult fulfilling a lifelong dream, every rider’s journey matters.

So far, Summer 2026 certainly hasn’t disappointed, and we can’t wait to see what the rest of the season brings! ☀️🐎

Something a little different is coming to Barton End Stables this summer...

We're delighted to welcome Joanna Shipley to who will be offering Equus Coaching on Tuesday evenings throughout the summer following on from the Taster Day she ran earlier this month.

Unlike riding lessons, Equus Coaching takes place entirely on the ground. It's a professionally facilitated coaching experience where our horses help people gain clarity, confidence and fresh perspective on whatever they're navigating in life.

It could be a wonderful opportunity if you:
•Spend hours at the yard while your child rides and would enjoy experiencing horses for yourself.

•Have always loved horses but feel nervous or lack confidence around them.

•Are facing a decision, a life change or simply feel ready for a different perspective.

•Already have your own horse and would like to explore working with them as part of a coaching session (where appropriate and if available).

No riding experience is needed, and there's no pressure to know anything about horses. Sessions are carefully guided in a safe, supportive environment for both people and horses.

If you've never heard of Equus Coaching before, this could be a lovely opportunity to discover a completely different way of connecting with horses.
