From zero to 26 at training this evening. We even have more members in the management team than we had in the squad last week. I would like to welcome Ed Kelland and Jason Philip to the club. Both bring some experience and a mentality that will serve us well moving forward. Ed who has been a long time nemesis of mine who I have the utmost respect for will be coming in as joint manager and Jason who has gained experience at Slimbridge in recent years will be coming in as our assistant. Here’s to the new dawn of Nailsworth Town Football Club.

What a 24 hours. Honestly, where do I even start?

It’s been an absolute whirlwind — a roller coaster of emotions, stress, doubt and moments where I genuinely wondered if we were going to make it.

But somehow, against the odds, the unthinkable has happened… I’ve saved Nailsworth Town 🖤💜

There were times when it felt easier to fold the club and walk away. But those closest to me know that was never really an option. They know what this club means to me and how much I’ve put into keeping it alive.

I’d like to say a massive thank you to everyone who took the time to read, like and share my post. The response has been incredible. My phone genuinely hasn’t stopped pinging all day — it’s been absolutely mad! 😂

A huge thank you also to the Stroud News & Journal for picking up the story and helping get the message out there. The support and exposure has meant so much.

I also want to say a special thank you to our new gaffer, Lee, for being so patient with me while I’ve been working hard to save the club. At times, he must have been sat there thinking, *“Why the hell did I take this job?”* 😂

But Lee, thank you for sticking with me, believing in what we’re trying to build and understanding what we’ve been up against. Now we can finally concentrate on what really matters — football.⚽️

And finally, to the players who have taken a chance and chosen to come to Nailsworth Town— thank you. You could have gone elsewhere, but you’ve chosen to be part of this journey, and that means a hell of a lot.

I know it won’t be easy. We’re going to have challenges along the way, but if we stick together, believe in each other and pull in the same direction, I genuinely believe anything is achievable.

This club has been through a lot, but it’s still standing.

Nailsworth Town is saved. The fight goes on. Now the real journey begins. 💜🖤💪⚽️

Last call. No gimmicks just looking for players that want to play football regularly.

As many of you know, I've been very positive regarding saving my club. I've sent countless messages; it's a good thing I get free texts.

But the reality is we are running out of time. Last week, I thought it was saved. I had one person promise he had six players, including himself, coming, and I thought we had done it. But sadly, I now know the feeling of what it's like to be promised something and it not happen; it doesn't feel good. This is a very challenging time for us, but not only for us, as two clubs have had to fold teams, which is very sad to hear,

If we can find 6 or 7 new players in the next few days, then we will have a club again. We can't offer higher football that other clubs can.. But the benefits of joining Nailsworth Town FC are as follows:

Free football (although the first yellow card is covered, the second yellow is down to the player to pay, and the club won't pay for any red cards)
Hot food at the end of a home game
Childcare for home games only for those players in the squad.
MOTM home game: bottle of ch*****ne.
MOTM away games: 4 cans of l***r.

If you are a club that has fringe players you can't promise minutes to, or you are a player already fed up at the club you are at, then please get in touch with us.

And for those players that would like to come but are waiting to see if we have a team, if you come, we would have a team.

Thank you
