Another weekend, another competition!
This time we were in Telford at the Telford International Centre for the English Championships with Maevie competing in the 9-10 Female Silver DMT competition.
What a special feel this event had, with blue carpet on the competition floor and marching in, down the steps, in the dark with lights dancing and music playing. It truly made for a great experience.
In her first year in the age group, Maevie was up against some strong competition.
Competing two strong passes saw Maevie qualify for Final 1 in 3rd place. Then came the time to compete a 3rd pass to try and achieve a place in the top 4 and qualify for Final 2.
The adrenaline was definitely pumping by this point and Maevie completed another strong pass. A little bit of instability on landing saw Maevie finish in 6th place at her first ever English Championships.
I have to say this is an amazing achievement.
Proud is an understatement!
