Just a quick reminder to everyone that there is no training today (Friday 12th June) and tomorrow (Saturday 13th June) due to final exam tables in the sports hall.

Additionally, there is no training Tuesday 16th also as GSCE's come to a close.

We will see you all again on Friday 19th June !

Another weekend and another Competition.

This time Alchemy travelled to Telford to see Maevie compete at her first ever English Gymnastics Trampoline and DMT competition.

And what a weekend it was!

First up was DMT, the silver 9-10 female category, which saw Maevie land 2 strong passes and qualify through to Final 1 in 7th place. After competing a third pass she finished 6th.
Wow what an achievement, against some strong girls.

A bit like last weekend, all being it not so hot in the gym, saw a long wait until the penultimate flight of the day until we could jump on trampoline.

Competing in the 9-10 silver female category and up first against another strong group of girls, saw Maevie compete her set routine for the first time ever, and complete 20 skills on trampoline, finishing 9th.

What a respectable set of results at your first ever English Competition.

We travelled to Kettering this weekend to attend the second Trampoline & DMT League competition of the year, which saw Indie and Maevie competing in their first ever Trampoline league event. It was rather warm in the gym, as you can imagine with the weather arriving for the bank holiday weekend.

On Saturday they both competed in League 3 trampoline, with both girls completing 20 skills; Indie finishing a very respectable 21st in the 13+ female competition and Maevie finishing an equally respectable 16th in the 9-10 female group.

With the temperature ramping on Sunday we had the girls competing on the DMT in the League 3 competition. Indie was first up again in the League 3 13-14 female category landing both her passes in the middle of the red, finishing 15th. After a long wait until the last DMT flight of the day it was Maevie turn. Also with 2 passes landing in the red and progressing through into Final 1, after competing a 3rd pass she finished 6th.

With both girls in the top half of their groups in both Trampoline and DMT at their first ever Trampoline league competition, I couldn't be prouder, a Huge well done to you both!
You have done yourselves and the club proud! 😁

Today saw those team members who have qualified over the last 2 competitions compete at the Club and Regional Challenge Cup Finals at the University of Bath.

The day was full of lots of ups and down, both on trampoline and DMT. Sorry I couldn’t resist the pun.

I have to say I am beyond proud of how you have all dealt with your nerves, composed yourselves and competed your Routines and Passes.

You should all be really please with yourself.
