STANSFIELD TROPHY 6th JUNE 🟢🔵

With no county leagues games this afternoon we are using the rink time wisely and holding a social bowls event - The Stansfield Trophy. This is a chance for all members to take part in a friendly but competitive competition that consists of a number of challenges to test their bowling skills.

Our men’s and ladies competition secretaries have devised fun bowling activities that vary across the rinks. Each player keeps their own score and the winner is the one with the most accumulated points. There will be a male and female winner on the day.

Good luck to all those taking part and let’s hope the weather is kind to us.

TODAYS THE DAY 🔵🟢

Come on down to Nailsea Bowls Club at Mizzymead Recreation club and have a go at lawn bowls. Come and learn a little about the game before you watch it on TV and the Commonwealth Games (you watched the curling on ice, well we do it on grass 😂)

A few spaces remain so just turn up at 2pm and enjoy the fun. Our members and coaches will be on hand to welcome you. Refreshments available from the bar all afternoon.

OPEN DAY SUNDAY 31st MAY🔵🟢

Come and give bowls a try. Anyone can enjoy lawn bowls, if your a sports person, current or no longer playing, or if your looking for an activity to improve fitness or just a social outlet then this is the sport for you.

We are a friendly club with a great social atmosphere, part of the Mizzymead Recreation club. You can enjoy social bowls with a drink in the bar afterwards or play a little more competitively, what ever suits you.

It all starts with you giving it a try to see what it’s like. So come on down to our open day on 31st May at 2pm.

Our friendly members and coaches will introduce you to the wonderful game of lawn bowls. A game designed for the young that all ages can play.
