Several members of our club have entered the EIBA National Competitions this year with three teams getting to area semi finals
Hazel Birch and Janet Hobson won their National Senior pairs game at Clevedon 16-15 to reach the area final next month.
Hazel Birch Janet Hobson and Sue Tassell lost their Senior Triples to a strong team at Clevedon 13-19.
A team of ladies fours have yet to travel to Chippenham to play their game and we wish them all the best.

Open Day

Potters Shop 10am - 4pm
Potters will be bringing a selection of bowls, bowls equipment and clothing. Should you want something specific you can preorder. To preorder contact Potters on 0333 3207 403 (office hours Mon - Fri 9am - 5pm) or email [email protected]

Potential New Members
If you are interested in having a go at indoor bowls then the rinks will be open from 10am-2pm for you to have a go. All you need is suitable flat shoes. Members will be on hand to answer questions and there will be the opportunity to sign up for coaching for the coming season.

For existing members
Buy rink tokens £2.50 each
Pay 2024/25 membership

Tea/Coffee will be available with a biscuit £1 or for an extra £1 a slice of cake.

If you are paying membership by BACS you can do this in advance by paying £45 to Nailsea Indoor Bowls 40-34-39 01013637. (Unless you are already a paid up user of Mizzymead Recreation Centre in which case it is £23) Alternatively we can take payment in cash or by cheque on the day

The last of the 2023-24 Season Club finals was played this afternoon. The Ladies pairs final was a great match between Pat Groves & Karen Bradbury and Paddy Spencer & Maggie Wilkes. Congratulations to this years ladies pairs winners Paddy & Maggie.
Well done to everyone who participated in this years club competitions. Congratulations to all our winners - we look forward to seeing you at the Presentation evening on Saturday.

Here we go - the start of the Somerset county Fours

The County Fours Final is at Taunton Deane on Saturday 6th April. Our Nailsea men - Duncan Edler, Brian Powell, Dennis Leach and Dave Benson are on the rink at 2.30pm against a team from Illminster. Food and drink are available for spectators to purchase. I am sure support would be very welcome.

As the 23/24 Indoor season is drawing to an end, there are a number of competition finals and semi finals being played this coming Sunday (24 th March.)
A Ladies’ Pairs Semi Final will be played at 10 am , The Ladies’ Singles Final at 12:30 pm and The Ladies’ Australian Pairs Final at 2 pm.
The Men’s Pairs Semi Final is also being played at 12:00pm.
Spectators are encouraged to attend and support the players involved. We are expecting some entertaining matches!

Congratulations to Brian Powell, Duncan Edler, Dave Benson and Dennis Leach on their win this evening. What a brilliant match keeping the spectators on the edge of their seats. 14-14 at the finish of the 17th end and the Nailsea men took the final end for Victory.

The Somerset County Mens fours semi-final is to be at NIBC 6.30pm Tuesday 19th March. Our men would love your support as Duncan Edler, Brian Powell, Dave Benson and Dennis Leach take on S Angrove’s team from St Andrew’s.
