Fantastic class tonight ladies !!!
I had a great time, hope you all did too!

Calling everyone who wants to jump about like crazy for a fun filled 45 minutes.
It’s cardio without even knowing it, all levels welcome and encouraged.

Evening 😊

A lot of people’s goal is to loose weight, wether that be for health or aesthetic reasons.

Well as I’m sure you’ve all noticed weight loss isn’t going to happen over night!

So make weight loss your long term goal.

Put it to the back of your mind, don’t stress about it, your body is wonderful in so many ways and knows what it’s doing.

Set yourself some mini goals. Something that you can check in on daily.
I find that my Fitbit (FYI there are many other fitness trackers out there) helps me achieve goals daily. Reaching my step count and physical activity.
I get a small sense of victory when I check it before I go to bed.

Mission accomplished

Not a bad idea if you struggle to stick to something when you don’t see results on day one .......... with a fitness tracker you see results straight away, you carry them around on your wrist with pride!

Each mini goal is one step closer to that big goal.

Hey everyone,

Who’s guilty of not posting allllllll summer?

🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️🙋🏼‍♀️

So summer is coming to an end and as we all know the weather has been cracking ! We are probably all guilty of chilling out in the garden getting use of that garden furniture we bought 8 years ago, sipping wine and beer, too easy to say yes to a third (then fourth and fifth).

The nights have been longer and brighter so if your two choices are sit in the sunshine or go to the gym, don’t beat your self up if you choose to sit in the sun.
We all did.

It’s quite hard (ok VERY hard) for a lot of people to push themselves to exercise (myself included), so here is a tip to get you back at it,

Do something you like !!

Wether that be going a walk with your music plugged in switching off from the world ...

Attending a group fitness class where you have people around you to encourage you

That workout DVD you actually liked doing in your living room but somehow made it to the back of the dvd shelf.

Go to the gym and only do the exercises you like. Don’t worry if it’s chest day, leg day, Monday or your birthday, just do the ones you enjoy.

I promise, you get yourself moving again and you will feel the mental benefits almost immediately!!
Exercising will give you more energy, boost your mood and make you feel dam good 🙌🏻

I love dancing, so today I choose my favourite tracks from les mills sh’bam and went for it.

Ok ok I hear you, but do you know how much time and money it’s going to take to rebuild your health, fitness and general well-being when you haven’t looked after it for years?

When you get a little older and you realise you would like to be around to see your kids graduate, get married and start a family of their own.........
you don’t want to miss that, do you?
It will hit you, but will it be too late by then?

TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF!

And yes taking care of yourself DOES include treating yourself to a take away, but it’s a treat.
You wouldn’t give your dog a treat unless they had done something to earn it.
Same applies for you........ earn your treats, AND THEY WILL BE SO MUCH BETTER!

Ok lovely people, here’s what I have in store for you tonight .....

5.10pm ‘swarm’ metafit, 19 minutes of crazy but dammmm you will feel good once it’s done ✅

5.45 ‘Abs with Alex’, 30 minuets of core strengthening work with top tapping music.

6.20 ‘stretch and tone’, 30 minutes, 50%work, 50% calm.

All of the above at Haddington school of dance and music, (by Tesco)
£5 a class or feeling brave?.......
ALL 3 FOR £12

P.s remember Lycra and sweat bands are not compulsory, all levels welcome. 😊

Very excited to share the new stretch and tone playlist with you all !!

Still not sure if stretch and tone is for you?
Here are some frequently asked questions....

Q. Do I have to jump?
A. Absolutely not! At no point in the class will I ask you to jump, run, hop or skip. This class has been designed to have minimum impact on your joints.

Q. What do I wear?
A. Comfortable clothing. You don’t need to be wearing skin tight Lycra to feel the benefits of this workout. I advise bare feet for this class however if you feel more comfortable with trainers on, keep them on.

Q. I’m really unfit. I haven’t exercised in years. Will I struggle?
A. The first part of the class is all about building strength in your lower body through simple body weight exercises. The second half is spent working on flexibility and relaxation. You don’t need to be ‘fit’ to take part, just a positive attitude.

Q. I’m really nervous to come to class, what should I do?
A. Take a deep breath. It’s normal to feel anxious or nervous before starting something new. Everyone at the class is there to support you no matter what your ability.

Q.WHEN DO I START!!
A. Thursday evenings at the Haddington school of dance and music. (Just by Tesco with the big red door)

Class starts at 6.20pm for 30 minutes.

£5 a class.
