Our P6 and P7 age groups are running a fundraising 90’s disco for their upcoming tour.

After an action packed day for MRFC down in the borders it is the turn of the young guns.

Our Mini section host Edinburgh Accies at Pinkie tomorrow.

It would be great to see some support down to cheer on our P3 to P7 teams. Games start from 11.30 for our P6 team and P3 to P7 at 1300hrs!

****Update for parents Sunday 12th January****

Unfortunately due to the cold weather all games have been cancelled this weekend.

Our training for the U5’s / P1’s and P2s is now also cancelled as all grass facilities are frozen. We will monitor weather for next week to see if we can secure alternative arrangements if the cold snap continues.

We have however managed to get facilities between 1300 - 1400hrs on the 4G at Rosehill (Wallyford) for our P3 to P7 age groups to run some training.

All spond should be updated accordingly.

With our micros finishing up last week with some great dance moves at their Christmas party, it was down to the P3 — P7 age groups to end the year with a trip to Kirkcaldy Rugby Club and Haddington RFC.

Our P3 to P6 teams headed across the bridge to Beveridge Park to take on Kirkcaldy. A great day was had by our teams and well done to Kirkcaldy on hosting a great day with lots of fundraising events on at the club.

As always the kids showed their rugby skills and signed of the year with some top quality games! Well done!

Our P7 age groups made the short journey to Neilson park and signed off with some fine performances against their East Lothian counterparts in Haddington, Dunbar and North Berwick!!

Well done to the P7’s finishing up in style.

We would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year and look forward to the second half of the rugby season in 2025.

***Attention Parents****

P3 to P7 Santa touch tomorrow is cancelled as both Pinkie and Stoneyhill are unplayable as waterlogged. We will put this to standby for next week should Kirkcaldy fall foul to the weather.

Our Christmas party for our U5’s to P2s will go ahead as planned between 11-12 in the clubhouse.

It will be great time to for parents to try out new coffee machine and there will also be some kit on sale for any last minute presents.

A Friday throwback to training last week at Stoneyhill for our P6 and P7 groups.

We were delighted to welcome Edinburgh Rugby stars Ross McCann and Ben Healy who put the teams through their paces.

Both Ben and Ross were superb passing on their rugby knowledge and on hand to answer all our kids questions and taking lots of photos. Thanks again to Ben, Ross and Edinburgh Rugby; good luck for the rest of the season!!

Another great Sunday for the mini section.

Our Micros, P1 and P2s were in full flow at Stoneyhill enjoying some great training! It was super having some of MRFC S1 team in Eilidh and Hannah helping develop our future stars!

Our P3 to P7 teams welcomed Boroughmuir to Pinkie and had a great day of rugby on a sunny winters day!!

Fantastic rugby on show across all age groups was enough to keep the spectators entertained cheering on for a bit of warmth. Thanks again to Boroughmuir Rugby for coming along!

No action pictures this week but an announcement for our Christmas activities!

We hope to see all kids along to have a good end to the year!

Well what a weekend of rugby and hardlines to Scotland on a thrilling game at Murrayfield v South Africa.

Our 1st XV winning on the road v Marr and our 2nd XV narrowly losing to Edinburgh Accies at home.

The mini section was also in full flow with our micros, P1 and P2 players training hard at Stoneyhill having good fun working on their skills for a future of rugby ahead.

Our P3 to P7 age groups made their way to Stew Mel Lions for a fantastic rugby tournament. With lots of teams travelling there was some fantastic rugby on show. Thanks to our hosts for organising a great morning.

As squad numbers were limited there was a good training session at Stoneyhill so well done to all kids this weekend!!

Special shout out to a stand in P3 coach on Sunday Kyle Steyn who is Glasgow Warriors captain and Scottish International giving his wisdom to the Musselburgh P3 team!!
