Great weekends racing ☺️

Saturday:
Weather was dry, however the track was really slippy in the morning for some reason 🧐
Pulled out a great timed run and then Chris C came within 9 hundreths of me 😬😲
I had to also keep my eyes on Jakub and James P as they were pulling out fast times!
The day ended with me (mike) in P1 and 19 hundreths behind me was Chris in 2nd and a great 3rd for James P who was battling Jakub and Bob 👏

Sunday:
Beautiful day at Boyndie ☀️
Track was a lot more grippier than yesterday and today's goal was to try and get into the 69's.
No Chris today to chase my tail but still kept my eyes on guys behind 👀
Never managed to get into the 69's but close with a 70.21! It was great watching all the battles within the A9 mazda class this weekend. Very impressed with Jakub today as he banged in a great 71.47! Well Done! 😉

Fantastic as always to see great pb's!

Even though Jim is on his holidays he certainly kept checking Resultsman 😂

Next race: Forrestburn (without Jim 😂)

Great turn out for Eunos Ecosse mazda mob at one of our local events at Fintray hillclimb run by Grampian Automobile Club .

With close to a full entry it was going to be a busy weekend !

With 12 mazdas in the class for the Saturday there was plenty battles across the field to be had .

The weather was a bit hit or miss with scattered showers but eventually dried up , to leave a few dry runs that was going to be the runs to make count .

Ending up with the top 5 on 34 second runs and many pb's across the field no new pb's for teamking but ending the day with

1st Mike. 34.03
2nd David P. 34.47
3rd Jim. 34.80 (just .06 from his pb)
4th James P. 34.92
5th Jakub. 34.95

Sunday resulted with 3 more mazdas joining the class making a total of 15 competitors in the A9 class 😲

The day was much better weather wise with no rain forecast it was a case of building on the times as the day went on (easier said than done)

There was one casualty early on unfortunately Dave P's car had mechanical issues but kindly was offered a double drive from Neil G .

With most drivers building on there times from the Saturday the times were climbing, I think 10 of the 15 ending on new Pb's 👏

Mike pieced together a great 2nd timed run to reclaim the class record (unfortunately chris wasn't competing to battle it out)
Finishing with Jim also building on his pb all day resulting in a King 1-2

Welldone mazda mob great weekend and banter , also well done to Jakub with his first ever trophy 🏆

And a special mention for Derek with beating the 14 year old a2 class record today 👏 👌

Kames Summer weekend 🙈
Who knew you could get soaked and sunburnt on the same day 😂

Saturday we had 14 drivers, unfortunately Andrew McD had to pull out due to illness. Hope your better soon 🙂
It was a wet start so everyone was reminded to take it easy however dont think Rob listened as he had a few grass excursions 😂🙈 the buttercup petals looks afa bonny down the side of his car. 🌼
Jim pulled out a blinder on his last run to clinch 2nd with a new PB and Mike took the top step by 8 tenths.
KING 1,2 to finish Saturday 🏆

Also want to Congratulate Steven Connelly for an amazing run taking a new class record for J1 👏

Sundays weather was again showers on and off all day, which made it interesting on who will clinch top step as who knew what kind of weather our runs would be!
2nd timed run and Donald C laid down a fantastic time of 83.71 which took the class record! 😮
Mike knew this and had to go for it to catch him which didnt happen so we had to try again on the next run! Despite Donald's continuous rain dancing it did stay dry and we went again, it wasnt meant to be for Mike as Donald had already laid down a great time and finished on a time of 83.99 (which was under his previous record!) Well Done Donald, about time too! 👏🏆
Jim and his arch nemesis Bob Y were in a wee battle but Bob got the better of him the day 😔
Mike 2nd and Jim 4th with another great new PB though 🙂

Congrats to everyone who smashed PB,s this weekend also 👏🌟
