Question we get asked alot about primary football.

Q. How much is football?
A. Free as we want all local children to be treated the same and have the same opportunities.

As this question is asked alot we want to point out that yes our training is free.
BUT we heavily rely on fundraising to keep our club running.
Our costs are going up the same as everyone and in order to keep up with our facilities, pitches and maintenance work, first free kit and free training we have to work hard in the background to ensure it.

We have been accepted into the Cash for Kids Sports Challenge... so we will be doing lots of fundraising between 12th September to 12th October if you want to get involved by helping out or host your own event from a tea party to a pajama party please message our club page to get involved.

Muir of Ord Rovers under 10s attended the Moray Youth Festival festival on Wednesday night. ⚽️

What an improvement from last year 💪🏻Plenty of hard work came from every player. The passing and finishing has very much improved. 😊
Still a lot to work on, but these players have very much developed , and the coaches are delighted with the progression they have made.💙

Massive well done to Ryan Mackay on the last leg of his charity cycle challenge!👏🏻

Ryan and the team from Ord Industrial & Commercial Supplies are raising money for Mikeysline and doing amazing!

Congratulations to Katie Mackenzie, winner of SWF’s summer challenge with her brilliant recreation of Scott McTominey’s overhead kick to win herself a bag of uhlsport balls for her team: Muir of Ord Rovers.
Katie was presented with the prize at half-time in the ScottishPower Highlands & Islands League Cup final by SWF operations manager Kirsty Fowler.

The U16 girls had an early start this morning away to Formartine United.

The home side were quick to start the game scoring a few goals early on . We unfortunately only went down with 11 players today after late call offs last night due to illness. This proved to be costly as after 15 minutes into the game the team was reduced to 9 girls due to injuries but finished the half with 10 girls. The home side were relentless and clinical in the box.

The second half the girls made it more of a contest and grabbing a fine consolation goal through Jessica but were comfortably beaten on the day by a really good footballing team .

Thank you so much to Formartine United for their very kind words and sportsmanship today a credit to the sport. 👏🏻

A difficult day for the girls but they should all be proud of their efforts and commitment today which has been a testament to this team’s character all season. The girls will dust themselves down and prepare to face Stonehaven United at home in 2 weeks time.
