The Shaftesbury Open 50, a stalwart of the TT calendar did not fail to live up to its billing as one of the great events. This year, not only would the winners names be engraved on the Shaftesbury Centenery Trophy but also the Norman Wells trophy, courtesy of the Southend Wheelers.
Ramsey Kechacha became the first Shaftesbury rider since 1964 to win the trophy with Chantel Coetzer winning the female race for the third successive year and Andrew Metherell winning the award for fastest road bike.
Chapeau to all those who took to the start line. And thanks as always to the volunteers that make these events possible.

***ATTENTION***
Entries to the Shaftesbury 50 close at midnight tomorrow so please enter before then to avoid disappointment. As a reminder this event is now double bubble for BOTH the Shaftesbury 50 (it's an enormous trophy) and the Normal Wells Memorial. Probably the only chance you'll ever get to win both with a single ride and the course is the excellent E9/50.
Entries always via the CTT website
