Aberdare RFC Proudly Announces SWS Cymru as Our Charity of the Season 💛💙🐍

As we mark Scoliosis Awareness Month, we’re proud to support SWS Cymru (Support With Scoliosis Cymru) and help raise awareness of a condition that affects thousands of children and young people.

To launch our partnership, we’d like to introduce one of our own baby Snakes, Bodhi Griff.

Diagnosed with early-onset scoliosis at just 2 years old, Bodhi had a 55-degree spinal curve and has spent much of his young life undergoing treatment. He currently wears his 5th spinal brace for up to 20 hours a day, showing remarkable strength, resilience and determination every step of the way.

These photos tell his story, from diagnosis and treatment to proudly pulling on the Aberdare Snakes shirt. Despite the challenges scoliosis brings, Bodhi never lets it stop him doing what he loves and is excited to begin his Under 7s rugby journey next season.

We’re incredibly proud to support Bodhi, his family and SWS Cymru as we raise awareness and support families affected by scoliosis throughout the season.

🏉 Aberdare RFC Mini & Juniors Under 11s End of Season Presentation 🏆

Our Under 11s came together to celebrate the end of a fantastic season, recognising all the hard work, commitment and progress shown by every player throughout the year!

This season has been packed with memorable matches, great teamwork, plenty of learning and, most importantly, lots of fun. The players have continued to develop their skills, grow in confidence and represent Aberdare RFC with pride wherever they've played.

Each player has played their part in making this season such a success, and the coaches couldn't be prouder of the effort, attitude and sportsmanship shown throughout the year!

A massive thank you to our coaches, volunteers, parents and supporters for everything you do behind the scenes. Your support makes all the difference and helps create such a positive environment for our young players to enjoy the game!

Enjoy a well earned summer break, and we can't wait to see the boys back at it next season, ready for new challenges and more rugby memories!

🏉 Under 8s Presentation Evening 🏆

A special night for our Under 8s as they celebrated a huge milestone season for the team!

This year has been full of fun, learning and unforgettable memories, but it also marks the end of their tag rugby journey as the players now take the exciting step up into contact rugby next season!

Every player has grown massively in confidence, skill and teamwork throughout the year, and they should all be incredibly proud of themselves.

From the first whistle to the final session, the effort and enthusiasm from this group has been outstanding ! 👏👏

A massive thank you to the coaches, helpers, parents and supporters who have helped the players enjoy every moment along the way.

A new chapter starts next season and we can’t wait to see this team continue to grow! 🏉🔥
