Massive result today for Medchir. Despite defending for 65 minutes today they’ve still managed to push through and bag 4 try’s. The first try of the game went to J.Kallat after a jinky run in from 10m out from an offensive line out. Paisley quickly scored against us making it 7-5. After a heaving shift of defending a spill from Paisley and a quick recovery lead to Graham running 60m down the pitch after a couples of offloads President Ambrose runs it in under the posts. 14-5 at the end of the half. Only 5 minutes off kickoff debutante J.Cloy broke through a tackle and had an amazing offload to Ben who gets a try on the wing 19-5. Some serious anti west 3 rugby from Paisley they take a penalty kick for 3 points. Some more huge defensive sets from the lads was rewarded with a turn over from Ben, leading to a darting line from Captain Bradley and Lewis running down the wing and under the posts for the 4th Medchir try. After medics drop down to 14 men after repeat offences at the scrums, Paisley score their 2nd and last try of the match. FT 26-13

A whole 22 out for the boys today, get down to Dalziel and watch the freshers first game for Medchir 🔴🟡

A massive hand to Stuart Booth 👋 on his 75th cap in Medchir red and gold. The day started off sunny and bright with Medchir kicking off to Clydesdale, after a huge defensive set and a turn over from Booth Struan ran down the wing and offloaded to Chris for Medchirs first try. The boys working hard to get into Clydesdale 22 and a massive attacking shift lead to Stuart powering over the line for medchirs second.
Quick hands from the lads and a darting line for Chalmers made the medics 20 meters, a HSD linkup with a silky offload brought the medics 3 try’s ahead. At the start of the second half heavens opened and the liquid flowing rugby that the medics were playing was halted from a slippery ball. Despite all this, Chris Bradley with turn over on the 5 and a big miss pass from president Ambrose led to another walk in Westwood try. A chip over the top and a huge turn over from Ben R leads to Mr 75 caps jamming through Clydesdale defence for a try. Despite medchir boys massive effort in defence Clydesdale got their one and only try from doing 9 picks up the pitch and a breakaway through the blindside channel. Patrick cannon deadly show and go in the final minutes lead to him nonchalantly walking it over the line as the full time whistle blew. With Chris Bradley going 5/6 from the tee, the final result is 40-5.

We had an amazing time at the first annual Martin Davis Memorial Tournament and raised a whopping £1746 for ! A huge thank you to , for hosting and to everyone in both clubs that made this happen, we're immensely proud of everybody.

(especially MedChir RFC who took home the win 🥇🏆🏅)

First training session of the year, open to all new players! We're looking forward to meeting everyone and play some rugby while the weather's still nice.

Meet at 5:30 at Boyd Orr Car Park for a lift, if it's easier to get to Jordanhill School independently, you can meet us there for 6. Bring some appropriate boots, as we will be training on grass, but you won't need gumshield this time!
