No rest for dancers ones over the winter break!❄️

We’re very proud to say that everyone passed their highland exams with the SDTA with top marks! They received their certificates at class and got straight back to work on their technique with lots of fun challenges. Well done dancers, keep it up!✨

Our wee Claudia danced at her first competiton recently, and came away with prizes for both of her dances!🌟

Lanarkshire Thistle competition & Pitlochry Highland Games🖤⭐️

It was a busy weekend for our dancers, with 7 dancers attending competitions!
Well done to Mia, Hollie, Harper, Niamh, and Rebecca at the Lanarkshire thistle competition. Special congrats to Harper for wining her first trophy - runner up in her age category!🏆

Charlotte and Sophie-Charlotte braved the rain at Pitlochry Highland Games, where they took part in a special choreography challenge! The girls choreographed their own duet to a specially composed tune which was piped live at the competition! Afterwards they competed in the adult section, both placing well and winning some prize money😆

✨First beginners Competition✨

Harper did absolutely amazing at her first beginners competition at Inverness Highland Games and she was even asked to perform with her big cousin to open the ceilidh afterwards!

Earlier this month, our dancers Charlotte & Sophie-Charlotte travelled with teacher Fiona to compete in the 2025 Scot Dance Canada Championship Series, held in the capital city of Canada!🇨🇦

The girls had a great trip, competing in various events over 5 days, and returning home with some lovely awards!
Some highlights included Charlotte winning 1st overall in the 19 & under 22 national category, and placing 2nd in the solo choreography category on the same day! And Sophie-Charlotte won 2nd runner up in the 18 & under 21 championship category🥳

The girls rounded off the trip by joining forces with dancers from & for a group choreography - which placed 1st in their category! The dancers and teachers were all very pleased - especially considering the team only had one practice together before the competition!
Our girls were very grateful for another opportunity to dance with friends from the other side of the world🤍

The whole team has officially landed in Ottawa for SDCCS Ottawa 2025 ✈️

Today we brought our choreography group together from Lorena's School of Highland Dance, Keri's Highland Dance Studio, and Trad Dance Collective !

The dancing begins tomorrrow, wish our team the best of luck as they step onto the international stage to represent their provinces and countries 🇨🇦🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Our dancers spent last Saturday dancing at Lesmahagow highland games! Everyone had a blast despite the showers!🌧️

Congrats to our dancers Leah, Ava & Claudia who performed on stage for the first time! And to Mia for her first outing in her new kilt!💜
