Zone 2 Training

▫️Low intensity workout at which breathing is still easy and comfortable
▫️Aiming between 60 - 70% of max heart rate
▫️Converts fat to fuel so ability to go longer improves and energy sources are used more efficiently meaning a lower recovery demand, lower cardiac strain and reduced risk of injury
▫️In zone 2 heart training there is no lactic acid buildup and over time aerobic threshold will increase helping to maintain a higher intensity during fat burning stage
▫️Type 1 or slow twitch fibres are recruited in this type of training and therefore the mitochondrial (where fat oxidisation takes place) density can increase and allowing the body to burn fat for longer during exercise
▫️3-4 days of zone 2 training per week is recommended starting off with 30 minute sessions building towards 45 minutes continuous sessions to get full benefits of zone 2 training

Are you a new mum that finds trying to keep fit while having to look after a little one tough? Then this class is for you!

This class for any new mums out there who are looking to get that little bit fitter. Bring your little one along in their buggy/pram, and let’s get a good workout in. The class will involve different exercises using prams/buggy’s, bodyweight exercises as well as some light weighted exercises to help get you fitter/stronger and get you on route to feeling your absolute best.

Starting from the 17th of October (with bookings opening on the 10th) you can sign up for our Advent Abs aiming to get you looking fabulous in time for the Christmas party season starting.

It is an 8 week package which includes:

● Two 30mins PT sessions per week (option of hour long session a week available)
● Two healthy recipe books
● Nutrition booklet

My Body Transformation 💪🤩

After two years of being in a pandemic and going through various lockdowns where gyms were closed on and off which led to the weight gain in the first picture and I knew a change had to be made.

After taking the plunge and making that first step by hopping on the scales I started making changes such as increasing my protein intake, upping my steps every day as well as regularly working out.

Ways to improving step count or just general movement 🦵

• Start tracking how much you’re walking.

• Fitness watches and pedometers are great ways to stay motivated and encourage healthier habits as they increase accountability and make us more aware of our daily activities.

• Park further away before entering the shops,

• Take the stairs instead of lifts

• Walk or cycle instead of taking the car.

• Try going for a daily walk especially for those mainly working indoors e.g. Office workers who don't really move from a desk

Even a small change to your day to day routine can make a big difference.
