To all Lanark Utd supporters,
It is with great sadness that we announce the dissolution of our fundraising group with immediate effect. Whilst a difficult decision for us to stop our fundraising efforts we believe this is our only option and we now hand the reigns of the clubs' fund-raising activities back to the official club committee.
Formed in 2022 with the goal of upgrading the facilities and increasing the clubs' profile within the community, we have had a great few years, organising bucket collections, race nights, ladies events and sportsman’s brunches. In addition to organising these events, which have raised thousands of pounds of additional support for the team, we have funded and installed a new male and female toilet facility, re-roofed the hospitality suite, supported the establishment of an under 20s team, successfully negotiated a Tesco community promotion as well as securing community funding from RBS/NatWest, and set up a club lottery scheme that has assisted in the week to week costs of running a successful junior football club.
We appreciate the enthusiasm and support you've shown us over the years, and we're grateful for the opportunity to have contributed to the club's activities and have had great fun organizing all the events noted. We would like to take this opportunity to sincerely thank everyone who has contributed to our successes, either financially or with their time and effort.
However, due to circumstances beyond our control, it is time to call it a day and support the club as participants rather than organisers. We are sad that it hasn’t worked out in the way that we've always promoted transparently with the club, but we have tried our best to engage properly time and time again, however it's not to be for reasons unknown.
We'd like to wish Lanark Utd F.C. the players and management team all the very best going forward, and our desire to see the club go from strength to strength remains intact.
Mon The Yowes! 💙🤍⚽️
