RESULT. Made hard work of it but managed a 3-2 win against The Fat Ox during the middle of a tornado this morning🌪💨

Started strong and got a goal early through Andy Allen after some good football. Absolute horror touch on the edge of the box from one of our lads (me 😬) gave the Ox the ball in a dangerous area to pull one back. Ox going ahead not long after from a good effort from their no.9

Plough equalised just before half time after the Ox defence stopped for a flag that never came, Rory Farren finishing past the keeper. Second half we made some changes but still left late to get the winner, decent football seeing Andy Allen get his second and seeing the game off.

Gobs**te between the sticks for us worthy of a shout after taking one in the bo****ks at point blank range to stop the Ox from going ahead. Luckily he’ll never need them cos there’s not a woman alive that could put up with his s**t long enough for him to need his balls for owt.

Assuming there’s been some cash exchanged for the man of the match award as well 👀 should have seen the size of the corkscrew we needed to unscrew Byren from the edge of our box at half time for all the times their striker turned him 👀👀.

Expecting football to be finished for a month now so good to get a win going into lockdown, hopefully continue the form when we get back at it. Sweepstake underway for who comes back the fattest after the break 👀.

RESULT - After a disappointing display last week, this week we were much more on our game, with a lot of missed opportunities coming back to haunt us later on, hoping to bounce back to winning ways next weekend.

Match report below -

Shocker the Plough started slow, but got a goal early through Jordan Anderson and the win wasn’t really in any doubt after that. Ali Mac with the second and Anders finishing his hattrick, all the goals from us playing good football on the deck for the first real time this season.

Said this last week as well but it could and probably should have been more, defensively we looked mint since the season kicked off and if we had our shooting boots today it would have been more. Breakers keeper worth a mention for some good saves as well to keep the score down.

All in all a good day at the office from the Plough, starting to play proper football again and look like we’ve found some form going into next weeks game away against a good team in Bedlington Bank Top knowing we’ll have to be on it to get another 3 points.

Plough F.C 0-3 Bedlington Station Social Club

After getting dicked 6-1 in pre-season by the same team, the Plough get slightly less dicked this time around in a 0-3 loss in our first league game of the season against a strong Bedlington Station Social Club team.

After going in 0-0 at half time, Plough ran out of steam at the end conceding 3 in the last 20 minutes, grassroots football’s biggest gobs**te in nets being done by a worldy free kick to wrap it up. A well fought game from both sides, good to see the Plough battling till the end.

After a strong physical performance from the 6 stone and 7ft tall Morpeth Cafu, Bedlington Station Social Club gave Max Wilson the man of the match - even after the most campest scream Sunday League has ever heard when he got tackled in front of their bench 🙄.

You probably won’t hear this again this season either, but the ref deserves a shout too for a well ref’d game. We pick ourselves up and go again next week at home to Ashington Bubbles where we try to put today’s result right.
