📢**24hr Badmintonathon**

Saturday 5th July 8am through to Sunday 6th July 8am

Delighted to announce we are returning to our original format of the full 24hrs.

We will continuously hit the shuttle throughout the 24 hrs at Morpeth Leisure Centre.

This year we are supporting Mind (Tyneside and Northumberland ) a fantastic charity where everything donated stays in the area.

Huge thank you to Places Leisure for donating the court time so we can do this.

There will be a Tombola, cake stall and a chocolate stall.

Congratulations to our Men's 2nd team gaining promotion into A Division mens. We attended the NBA Presentation Evening at Blue Flames tonight. A good night was had by all 👏👏

**Announcement**

As part of their colleague match funding scheme Places Leisure have generously donated £250 to St Oswalds Hospice following our recent 24hr Badmintonathon.

Our total is now £7,350.

Huge thanks to Places Leisure for this donation and the use of the courts for the event.

24hr Badmintonathon

I'm delighted to announce we have raised £8,500 following our event on 22/23 June.

4Q Cancer will receive £1,432.50 from this for money raised through the sale of T-Shirts & Hoodies. We wish them well raising their 10k pledge.

We will be donating £7,100 directly to St Oswalds Hospice from our event. The date of the presentation of the cheque is to be arranged.

This is a phenomenonal achievement by everyone who support this event.

Thank you to all donations and sponsorship money raised.

Thank you to all the players, cake bakers, tombola donations, Coca Cola (bottles of water), helpers and Places Leisure.

I'm looking forward to running this event next year, with the prospect of returning to the full 24hrs - fingers crossed.

**24 hr Event**
22nd & 23rd June
Morpeth Leisure Centre

I've split both days into 3 x 4 hour timeslots

7-11am
11-3pm
3-7pm

If players would like to do more than 4 hours, I would encourage it but just to give you an idea of timings.

But I'm happy for any time that you can give for such a great cause.

Let me know as soon as you can, which timeslot, whether you can do 4 hours or just a few within that block.

It's a minimum of £20 donation, or I can give you a sponsor form.

Please note its CASH only, or the clubs bank details will be available on the day Ref: 24hr event.

Every penny donated goes directly to the charity....no court costs, shuttles are free.....no admin charges.

*Walk 4 Roy*

Together we raised a magnificent £625 in Roy’s memory .

We have given the money to the Ellington Colliery Brass Band (ECBB), who have earmarked the donation for a desperately needed Marching Bass Drum , which will carry a lasting dedication to Roy .

John Colvine accepted our donation on behalf of the ECBB and reminisced about Roy’s musical career and shared memories of his unique talents .

Thanks to all and everyone who has taken part .
