The supporting classes during Burgham International Horse Trials (30 July-2 August) are really popular, and entries are now OPEN for the following:

🐴 Burgham's Thoroughbred and Ex-Racehorse Show
🐴 Dubarry Burghley Young Event Horse qualifiers for four- and five-year-olds
🐴 unaffiliated showjumping with classes from 50cm all the way up to 1.20m

Very well done to the Bramham CCI4*-L and CCI4*-S winners Bubby Upton Eventing and Tom McEwen - and to everyone involved at Defender Bramham Horse Trials for such a successful event.

The next major northern horse trials is Burgham (30 July-2 August) - we can't wait to see what course-designers Andrew Heffernan and David Evans have got in store for our riders!

Burgham is the best-value day out in eventing - top riders, famous horses, beautiful Northumbrian scenery, great food and drink, lots of opportunities for grassroots riders, and a really lovely atmosphere.

Get your entries in for Burgham’s sister event, Alnwick Ford Equestrian International Horse Trials - the ballot date is Wednesday, 3 June.

🐎 FEI classes: CCI3*-S, CCI2*-S, CCI1*

🐎 British Eventing classes: Open Intermediate, Intermediate, Open Novice, Novice, 7-year-old qualifier, 6-year-old qualifier, Project Pony Pony Trial, BE105, BE100 open, BE100, BE90 open, BE90, BE80 and GO BE classes at 80, 90 and 100.

🐎 Pony Club: PC Chairman’s Cup, PC110 Area, PC100 Area, PC90 Area, PC80 Area.

Alnwick Ford is a lovely Northumbrian event with great facilities. The footing is in good shape with rain forecast. The appropriate ground machines are on standby if required to provide the best going possible.

Got pony-mad children and want a great day out during the summer holidays, without spending a fortune?

Look no further than Burgham International Horse Trials (30 July-2 August). We’ll have famous event riders on their top horses, the best local grassroots competitors - and classes for former racehorses and unaffiliated showjumping! All in a beautiful Northumbrian setting with a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Bring your dogs for our fun dog show, shop at our tradestands, eat and drink delicious, locally made produce and watch first-class equestrian sport.

Tickets start from just £4 for an adult and £3 for 12-17-year-olds on Thursday, and only £10 for an adult and £7 for 12-17-year-olds on Saturday - CCI4*-S showjumping and cross-country day. Children aged 11 and under can attend for free. We think that’s fantastic value - come and join us!

On International Women's Day, we celebrate the fantastic women on the Burgham International Horse Trials committee.

Christine Hogg, Aimee Newlands, Caroline Miller, Marcia Thompson and Sarah Holmes - we salute you, and thank you all for your hard work and dedication to making our wonderful event happen, your kindness, generosity and cheerfulness. Burgham wouldn't be possible without you.
