For those who remember just how much fun you had at Finals Weekend last year, well gird your loins because it's nearly time to scale those dizzying heights of excitement, laughter and camaraderie one more time!

Finals weekend starts at 12.30pm on Saturday, September 5th and will run throughout Saturday and Sunday with a number of keenly contested trophies up for grabs.

Forget the US Open - frankly the levels of competition and dare I saw, quality, of Morpeth Tennis Club finals are unparalleled and if previous years are anything to judge, the fans are even more raucous.

Not only great tennis but on Saturday we get to enjoy all the fabulous trimmings of the Hockey, Cricket and Tennis President's Day - food, drink and a wealth of sport, what's not to like?

Come and join us at Morpeth Hockey, Cricket and Tennis Club this Saturday, September 5th for the annual President's Day celebration.

There's lot of sport to watch including ladies and men's hockey matches, a men's cricket match and also the start of the Tennis Club's Finals Weekend spanning both Saturday and Sunday.

We also have the Clubhouse bar and Jam Jar Street Food available to satisfy all your food and drink cravings.

The Tennis Club coaches will be available around lunchtime so come and chat to them to find out what we have to offer all ages and all standards whether you're a complete beginner or keen to improve your game, perhaps after a period away from the courts.

Our friends at Lexus Newcastle are once again sponsoring the Tennis Finals Weekend and will have their brand new ES on show so a great opportunity to see their new offering.

More great work done by the volunteer maintenance crew at the club last weekend.

We are rightly very proud of our outstanding facilities at Morpeth Tennis Club although it feels like a never-ending job keeping on top of the many projects that need doing.

If you're in the Morpeth area and want to get into tennis or perhaps re-ignite a passion from earlier years then come along and try us out with our very affordable pay-to-play programme or reasonably priced memberships.

🎾 CAN YOU FEEL THE EXCITEMENT BUILDING?

We're less than 2 weeks away from the tennis event of the year. Forget Wimbledon, Roland Garos and the rest, this is where the frisson of a raucous crowd and high(ish) quality tennis collides to produce unparalleled sporting theatre.

Once again we are proud to have Lexus supporting us again and we hope to see more members, friends and casual observers come along to support the players and enjoy the crackling atmosphere.

A huge shout out to Lexus for providing hospitality tickets for the Lexus Nottingham Open and Lexus Eastborne Open.

Our prize winners were fabulously well looked after by Lexus and all came back raving about what a great experience they'd had and what superb tennis they'd seen.

🎾 Great shift today to fix the gaps in the fence on the top courts. A really thorough and professional job carried out by Helen, Albert, Rod and Richard. Thanks all 👏

𝐐𝐮𝐢𝐳 𝐍𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭 𝐚𝐭 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐓𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐬 𝐂𝐥𝐮𝐛.

We had an excellent quiz night at the club on Tuesday evening hosted by quiz master extraordinaire, Shay.

Well done to team "Advantage' for their victory by the narrowest of margins over 'Jellytots on Tour'.

Thanks to Shay for producing and delivering the quiz and to the organising committee for putting together such an enjoyable and well attended event.
