⚽️ Hadston & Morpeth ⚽️

With football fever in full swing, this week’s sessions were inspired by the biggest tournament in the world! 🌍🏆 Our players took part in a range of activities designed to improve their football skills while having lots of fun.

Our Micros explored different countries by travelling to coloured zones around the pitch before practising their shooting technique with a variety of target challenges. To finish, they enjoyed penalty shootouts and a fun-packed obstacle course. 🎯🥅

Our Minis showed fantastic enthusiasm throughout the session, working on movement and ball control while travelling between coloured areas. They then put everything they had learned into action with a series of matches as part of our own mini World Cup competition. ⚽🔥

🌟 Ashington Development Session 🌟

A huge well done to our player Alfie! He has stepped up from our Mini’s class and delivered some fantastic football, creating space in small-sided games and showing positive first touches to move away from pressure. 👏⚽

With the World Cup in full swing, our focus was on small-sided games, encouraging players to use the full width and depth of the pitch to stretch teams and create passing opportunities. We then put this into practice on a bigger scale with an exciting 6v6 match. ⚽🔥

⚽️ Longhorsley & Ashington ⚽️

With the World Cup upon us, our theme of the week was all about the beautiful game! 🌍🏆 We focused on scoring goals and playing football matches.

Our Micros worked on moving to different coloured corners, each representing a different country. They then developed their kicking skills by striking the ball at targets before finishing with penalty shootouts and an exciting obstacle course. 🎯🥅

Our Mini’s brought plenty of energy and entertainment, focusing on moving to different coloured corners with and without the ball. They then put their skills into practice in football matches to celebrate our very own World Cup tournament. ⚽🔥

Weekend: Whickham, Alnwick & Blyth🤩

What a fantastic Sports Day weekend for our stars across Whickham, Alnwick & Blyth 🌟 The focus was on key skills including running, jumping, throwing, and dribbling, with plenty of energy, smiles, and enthusiasm throughout. 💨

Micros ⚽️

Our Micros kicked things off with a speed challenge, racing from one point to another both with and without a football. This helped them develop ball control and improve their small touches. They then took part in a fun cone and ball balancing race before enjoying time on our exciting obstacle course. 🏃‍♂️🔥

Minis & Midis ⚽🔥

The Minis and Midis began with a warm-up featuring a variety of movements, travelling forwards, backwards, and sideways to improve agility and body control. Once warmed up, they were introduced to a football and focused on dribbling, speed, and ball mastery. The session finished with matches where players were encouraged to attack space, be brave on the ball, and enjoy putting their skills into practice. 👏

A brilliant effort from everyone involved across all venues — we loved seeing the enthusiasm, teamwork, and confidence on display! ⭐️

Longhorsley & Ashington 🤩

Our legends at Longhorsley and Ashington smashed their first Sports Day session! We focused on running, jumping, throwing, and dribbling. 💨

Our Micros started by seeing how fast they could move from start to finish, first without the ball and then with it, focusing on taking small touches and keeping close control. We then moved on to a cone and football race, which challenged their balance and coordination, similar to an egg-and-spoon race. Finally, we finished with an obstacle course that encouraged speed, agility, and goal-scoring. 🏃

Our Minis and Midis worked on moving from one side to the other using different movement patterns, including forwards, backwards, and sideways. Once warmed up, we introduced the football and practised speed, control, and skills. We then moved into matches, focusing on attacking space, building confidence on the ball, and having fun. ⚽️

Player Spotlight ⭐

We just want to give a huge shoutout to Remi, one of our players.

Remi’s growth over the last four years has been immense, we are delighted to have seen her enjoy such a successful first season with Bedlington. Scoring goals, winning trophies, and making great memories along the way, she has worked incredibly hard and deserves every bit of her success.

This is what football is all about — developing young players, helping them grow in confidence, and creating lifelong memories. 🤩

Ellington Development Session 🤩

Our superstars over at Ellington smashed their ball mastery session! We focused on dribbling, turning, and performing skills at speed. We then progressed into game situations, where our players worked on 1v1s and looked to get the ball into the back of the net. We finished with a large-sided match, focusing on moving and dribbling into space.
