Inside CTP Training — May Edition 🗓️

What a month.

11-a-side football with the lads, The return of the coffee club after the 9:30 session, celebrating the opening of gather.morpeth run club in collaboration with market place and tom smith, boys taking on the Edinburgh half and full marathon, packed Saturday sessions and the energy in the gym right now is quality!

Adam came through to CTP with no massive goal in mind, he just wanted to lose a bit of weight and become healthier.

At the time, he was around 250lbs.
Fast forward to now… he’s sitting at 198lbs. An unbelievable achievement and a true testament to what consistency and commitment can do. 👏

But the biggest transformation hasn’t just been physical.
Since starting his journey, Adam has completed 5Ks, 10Ks, and even a half marathon, things he never thought he’d be capable of doing.

And now?

His next goal is to complete a full marathon. 🏃‍♂️

Something he once thought was impossible is now firmly within reach.
Just goes to show.. when you truly put your mind to something, stay consistent, and trust the process, incredible things can happen.

Everyone talks about community.

This weekend actually showed me what it looks like.Saturday 11-a-side football, 30 lads on the pitch and another 10–12 who just came down to watch and be part of it. Sunday morning, run club in Morpeth. Lads completing the Edinburgh marathon and the boys celebrating every single one of them. And one of the boys opening a new business with the lads showing up to support him on day one.
Four different things. One group of people. One weekend.

I say CTP is a community all the time, but this weekend genuinely made me stop and think about how powerful that actually is.

Yes we will get you stronger, fitter, healthier and to your goals, that’s a given. But the connections you build along the way? That’s the bit nobody talks about enough.

And I genuinely think that real connection, new friendships, showing up for each other outside of the gym, is something that is massively missing from a lot of men’s everyday lives right now. People are busy, heads down, and that side of life just gets pushed to the back, And somewhere along the way, fitness became the vehicle for finding it.

When we say you become part of a team when you join CTP, this weekend is exactly what we mean.

TRANSFORMATION 👏

Rich first came to CTP back in August 2025 weighing 82kg. He was already a frequent runner, but when it came to the gym, he admits he didn’t really know what he was doing. No proper structure, no routine to follow, and no real confidence inside a gym environment.

After seeing CTP on Instagram, he decided to give it a go… and he’s not looked back since 👊
Fast forward to now and Rich is down to 74kg, looking leaner, feeling stronger, fitter, and far more confident in himself 💪
What’s been class to see is how much this has carried over into every area of his life. He’s still running at an unbelievable pace, but now feels stronger not just in the gym, but also out on his runs and in day-to-day life too.

This is what happens when you combine consistency, structure, and a good environment around you.

Sunday Run Club ☀️

Now the sun is starting to show up, there’s no better way to start your Sunday.

Join us on 24th May for a casual 5k! all paces, all welcome. No pressure, just good people getting outside together.

Finish back at The Market Place where the kitchen will be open for coffee and a well deserved breakfast. Meet us at The Market Place for 7:45am with an 8am start. We can’t wait to see you there 🙏🏼

Graeme Lyall… 2 stone down in 6–7 months.
But the real win isn’t just the weight loss… it’s the person he’s become in the process.

When Graeme first came into CTP, he was completely new to the gym. No routine, no real training background, just someone ready to make a change. And from day one, he bought in.
Fast forward to now, he’s training 3–4x per week, showing up consistently. That shift in identity is what makes this transformation so powerful.

He’s not just “lost weight” he’s become someone who trains, looks after himself, and sets a standard.

On top of that, he’s a top presence in the gym and a great character around CTP!

TRANSFORMATION 🤩

1 year ago, Alex made a decision that changed everything.

He wasn’t happy with where he was, so he did something about it. He bit the bullet, sent the message, and got to work.

He came to us wanting to lose some body fat and build a bit of muscle, but what he achieved goes way beyond that.

Starting at 103kg and now sitting at 84kg,
the physical transformation speaks for itself.📈

Off his own back, Alex made the call to cut out alcohol and fully commit. No shortcuts, no excuses, just consistency, discipline, and showing up when it mattered most.

He has completely transformed his physique, but he’s most importantly changed his mindset.
More confident. More driven. More in control, not just in the gym, but also his lifestyle.

This is what happens when you decide enough is enough.
If you’re sitting on the fence like Alex once was.. take this as your sign.

Stop waiting & start taking action.

Every member you see here made that decision, to walk through the doors and do something about it.

No more talking yourself out of it.
No more excuses.

Just action.

Yeah, it’s hard work… it’s meant to be. But when you commit and give everything, it doesn’t just change your body… it changes how you think, how you move, and how you show up in life.

Training is only a small part of it.
It’s the lifestyle.
It’s the standard.
It’s the community.
It’s the commitment to becoming better.

This is what happens when you stop waiting. ⚡️

Don’t be afraid to change your identity.

Most people stay stuck because they’ve already made their mind up about who they are…
and they’re too uncomfortable to let that version go.

Not because they can’t do more…
but because they won’t allow themselves to.

Truth is, no one cares as much as you think.
The fear of judgement, embarrassment, looking stupid, it’s all in your head.

The gym isn’t just about training a few times a week.
It builds discipline.
Confidence.
Energy.
A higher standard for your life.

You don’t become better by thinking about it…
you do it by deciding and backing it with action.
