Yesterday, once again, I found myself in a situation where I was being abused and ridiculed in several pages where I advertise my shooting range and activities. Members of the public in my region insinuating, trying to link what I do in my hobbies, business, in a flawless way, guiding, coaching and learning safe practice in airgun use, to USA gun crime. My article on a couple of pages was withdrawn by admin. As a person who in the past has gained GBR judge, qualified coach, responsible for over 15,000 people safely shooting at my range, no complaints to police or local councils. I advertise on about 60 Facebook community pages, sadly I continue to have to fight the public and stand up for my own livelihood, my hobbies and social interests, simply because of USA gun legislation. Next week is school holidays here in the UK, sadly I will loose out financially with families backing out and negative publicity.
Due to the fact that as a range owner I have to demonstrate a higher level of competency, safeguarding the public and learning safe gun practice, I do not feel like I deserve the public to be trying to associate me, link me, blame me, cause arguments, because of USA out of control gun legislation.
USA, get to grips with better licensing policies and realise what you are doing to people on a prolonged basis. It is not appreciated, not wanted, not asked for either. I just have to waste my time standing up for the safer side of shooting sports.
