We are Yorkshire RFU, the governing body for rugby union in Yorkshire. We are run by an army of dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers who are responsible for the operational running of over 130 clubs in the county. These responsibilities cover governance, safeguarding, developing players, coaches and referees along with running the competitions and fielding representative county teams. All these aspects ensure that rugby is grown and developed to be the best it can be and will remain sustainable for generations to come in God's own County.

📣 YORKSHIRE U18 GIRLS – PARENT/GUARDIAN REMINDER

If your daughter has been nominated for the Yorkshire U18 Girls programme, please check your email for the Player Information Form (PIF) and complete it as soon as possible.

The form must be completed before the assessment day at Harrogate RUFC on Sunday 1st November 2026.

⚠️ Players will not be able to take part in the assessment unless the Player Information Form has been completed.

Please check your inbox — and your junk/spam folder — for the email and make sure the form is submitted ahead of the assessment.

📣 YORKSHIRE U18 GIRLS | 2026/27 COUNTY NOMINATIONS

Nominations are now open for the Yorkshire U18 Girls County Programme 2026/27. 🌹🏉

We’re asking club, school and college coaches/teachers to nominate players who demonstrate a clear point of difference and are ready for the challenge of county representative rugby.

⚠️ Player and parent/guardian nominations are not accepted.
Players and parents should speak directly to their club or school coach/teacher about the nomination process.

📅 Nominations close: 2nd October 2026

The programme includes an assessment session, development sessions and three county fixtures across December, January and February. Players selected for the programme will be expected to commit fully to the published programme dates.

Previous Yorkshire U18 players and eligible players who completed the U16 PDG programme last season will still need to be nominated.

🏉 YORKSHIRE U20 MEN — NOMINATIONS OPEN

Yorkshire U20 Men are inviting nominations for the 2026–27 County Programme, including development opportunities, assessment sessions and representative fixtures.

✅ Players must be under 20 at midnight on 31 August 2026
✅ Nominations are accepted only from club and university coaches
✅ Players should be capable of competing at county level

Players and parents cannot submit self-nominations. Please speak directly to your club or university coach if you would like to be considered.

Coaches should email the player’s:

• Full name
• Club or university
• Contact details
• Playing position

Players who have appeared on a first-team match-day card at Level 4 are not eligible. Players from Regional 1 and below may be selected.

University players who have competed during the current season in Super Rugby, BUCS Premier North 1 or BUCS Premier South 1 are ineligible. Players competing at other university levels may be considered.

Assessment days are planned before Christmas, with nominated players asked to complete an online registration.

🏉 YORKSHIRE U18 BOYS NOMINATIONS NOW OPEN

Nominations for the Yorkshire Boys U18s 2026/27 County Programme must be submitted by school or club coaches only.

Players and parents interested in the programme should speak directly to their school or club coach about the nomination process. Players and parents cannot nominate themselves.

Coaches should nominate only players they believe are currently performing at the appropriate standard for county assessment.
