Another amazing start to a new week……
Will always think it’s wild that I actually get to call this work tbh 🥰

I love teaching people
I love seeing people getting stronger
I love seeing people learn new skills
I love seeing people’s mindsets change
I love seeing people start believing in themselves
I love seeing people start to enjoy exercise
I love seeing people reprogram their daily habits
I love seeing people’s confidence soar
I love seeing their knowledge grow week on week
I love seeing people getting results
I love more than anything seeing people be successful ✨

It’s not just about how hard you can “beast” someone in a session, it’s so much more than that…
If we don’t begin to change your behaviours and attitude outside of the gym for the other 23hrs in the day, then that one hour becomes almost irrelevant.

What’s important is trying to install positive behaviours and consistent principles, because without these you will always come up short in progressing towards your goals.
It’s not all just about changing your physique, it’s about changing your mindset and lifestyle that got you there in the first place and teaching you that from this point, this is going to be your new life for the rest of your life ♥️

2 years of hard work and yes sometimes tears. 2 years of figuring out a balance of my mental work life, my manic home life, a chronic redbull addiction with a balanced diet. 2 years of falling on and off the keeping my arse moving train and 2 years of always getting back on again - thanks to my PT and more importantly my friend . I appreciate that woman so much more than she will ever know - keeps me motivated, keeps my head attached and always picks me back up when I wobble. If you need a woman on your side to help you get your s**t together - the proof is in the photo - she’s the one.

So yes 2 fu***ng years of hard work and I’ve still some to go. I’m 40 next year and I’m determined to be the fittest I’ve been at 40.

Lets go.

Nutrition doesn’t need to be boring 🥑🥭🫒🥗🍗🍤🍣🫑🍅
What you eat will transition into how you feel and will impact other aspects of your life positively such as your energy levels, mood, performance in the gym/work and the more you fill your body with good nutritious food the less you will want to eat s**te because you won’t want to feel all the negatives that come with it anymore such as being lethargic, miserable, bad sleep patterns etc
Your food is the foundation for your health!
Get a good balance of macros and micros, get the colours of the rainbow in there, make it healthy, make it tasty, fill your plate with foods you enjoy and watch yourself, your physique and ultimately your life change for the better.

Still here behind the scenes busy getting clients results 😆
Where do I start here……. An absolute dream of a client to work with, never moans and never misses a beat, hence why the results just keep coming and her performance in the gym is flying 🚀
Her job as a barrister means she works some very very long hours which can occasionally take her all over the country travelling to different courts, but you know what, never once has she given excuses or complained about a single thing! She trains with me once a week at 6am and then executes the online training/cardio/nutrition plan that I set for her outside of our sessions without hesitation!
12kg down so far, numerous inches gone, dress sizes dropped, resting heart rate down, pb’s in the gym, energy levels through the roof, skin glowing and we’re not stopping anytime soon! How did we do this? Yes obviously we put her in a calorie deficit, but I personally do believe it is highly important to eliminate 95% of highly processed foods from your diet and replace them with whole foods….(I know some people out there will disagree with me and like to shout about the “balance” element all the time but ultimately I think you should put health first!)
Will you still lose weight eating s**t food if you’re in calorie deficit? Of course you will……calories will determine your weight, macronutrients will determine how you look and micronutrients will determine how you feel.
A healthy gut equals a healthy brain so feeding our gut with all the micronutrients it needs is essential for our mental well-being. If you consume higher levels of protein alongside carbs and fats you’ll be in great physical shape, if you consume a variety of whole foods and cut out eating crap you’ll improve not only your performance but your mental health too.
The proof is in the pudding ⬆️ 😆

Should you track your food🤔📲
There is alway’s a bit of controversy about this one! But in my opinion if you’re really serious about wanting to make changes then I think that to begin with, yes it is a good idea and also a very good way to educate yourself, along with understanding exactly what you are putting in your body, PLUS it allows you to have a more flexible approach, whilst in turn still giving you the results you want👍
I know some people have opinions such as “it’s too restrictive”, “it will give you a bad relationship with food”, “it’s too much messing about” “it takes too long” “it’s being obsessive” can’t you just write me a food plan to follow?
Well yes I can, BUT what I also like you to become is more knowledgeable yourself and have the confidence moving forward to enable you to pick your own meals knowing what is nutritionally good for you and what isn’t so good. .

What do I believe the benefits of initially tracking your calories and macros are…………
It gives you more awareness of what you’re eating, along with teaching you portion control, you will learn which foods are high and low in calories. (Giving you a big shock in a lot of cases)
It teaches you about the macro breakdown in foods.
Sets you up with healthy habits for the future.
Educates you to make healthy choices everyday.
Teaches you about ‘balance’
Allows you to make accurate changes to your diet to create better results.
Remember you can only manage what you can measure. 💯

The start of another week tomorrow and one that everyone likes to call “Motivation Monday” and throw some kind of inspirational quote out there for the purposes of “the gram” 🙄
But in all honesty it is something that I do get asked a lot (and I actually do, I’m not one of those people that say…….people always ask me when actually no one has! 😆) how are you always so motivated? And “I need you to motivate me”
Well here’s my thoughts, I believe you shouldn’t need anyone to motivate you and motivation isn’t something that can be taught!! That’s not what I’m here for. Ask yourself what it is that you want to achieve?
Set yourself an end goal with smaller goals along the way, because without having any goals you will have zero reason to be motivated, then once you know what it is that you want to become or where you want to be, you can then wake up in the morning with that drive to tackle it head on! Then you need to ask yourself what can I do today that will get me 1% closer to my goal? what can I do today that will make me 1% better? And then go do it! And just keep doing it everyday until it becomes a habit.
That habit will then become a lifestyle and before you know it, you’re so in love with the process (I was going to put journey but I bloody hate that word!!! 😂) that the initial goal that at first seemed so unattainable is now literally right in front of you ❤️

Transformation Tuesday..........
A day when we see some amazing before and after pictures right?
But how many of you look at them and think to yourself, “I wish that was me”, “ I wish I could do that?”
Well guess what? You can 100%
We’ve all been a beginner at one point! I was once the girl that was just starting out, the girl who wasn’t confident picking a weight up, the girl who felt intimidated walking into a gym. The girl who stuck to cardio machines because she felt lost, felt embarrassed because she didn’t know what any of the machines were for or have the first clue what correct form and ex*****on was!
TRUST ME I HAVE BEEN THERE!!!!

I TOTALLY get it! We’ve all started from the bottom, but if you want to transform your body and get the results you want, you’re going to have to step outside of your comfort zone,do it and put in the work!
Yes, you will make mistakes, but don’t we all, I’ve made many in my time and still do now, but we learn from them, we grow, we move on and we improve over time.
Understand that it won’t happen overnight, it will take a LOT of time, a lot of sacrifice, dedication and patience, but I promise it is possible you just need to be willing to start, stay dedicated, be in it for the long haul, don’t be a f***y and be consistent ....💪🥰

Are you one of the Monday motivation crew that wakes up every Monday morning all guns blazing, motivation through the roof, diets on point, you’re going to train like an absolute animal this week!

Wednesday comes round, the excuses have started slipping in! “I’m a bit tired today” “i’ve got a lot on at work” “a couple of days off won’t hurt”.
Next thing “oh f**k it it’s Friday” then all the good intentions you started the week with are out the window!!!

If you’re always questioning yourself whether or not you should train or eat your planned meals then realistically you haven’t truly commited. When you’re serious about making a change and achieving the goals you set out for yourself, the only option is to follow through, even if sometimes you don’t always feel like it! Effort in, rewards out 💪
