A lifelong supporter and dedicated servant of the club, Pete takes on the role as we look forward to an exciting new chapter at Hartsfield.

Join us on Saturday 20th June as New Brighton Rugby Club take on Greenleas FC in our annual Charity Football Match.

We’re proud to be raising funds for Maggie’s Wirral, an incredible charity providing support and care for people affected by cancer and their families.

👏 VOLUNTEER APPRECIATION POST 👏

Firstly, we want to say a massive thank you to Bernie (Ground Chairman), Jimmy and Peter.

These lads have been down at the club every Friday — and plenty of other days throughout the week — for years. Without them, the bins wouldn’t get emptied, litter wouldn’t get picked up, general maintenance wouldn’t get done, and the ground simply wouldn’t keep ticking over.

A huge thank you to all three of you for the time and effort you continue to give to the club.

Another massive thank you goes to our groundsman Lee, who has been looking after our pitches for over 20 years. Without his dedication, we simply wouldn’t have pitches to lace our boots up on year after year.

The reality is simple — without these lads volunteering their time, we don’t play rugby.

Which brings us on to the next point… they need help!

If you can spare an hour on a Friday, pop down and give the boys a hand. Any help, no matter how small, is massively appreciated by both them and the club.

If you’d like to get involved, just turn up on a Friday or drop us a message for more information.

Let’s keep building the volunteering and “doing” culture that this club has been built on for the last 151 years.

Yesterday's Annual Junior Presentation Day marked the end of the 2025–2026 junior rugby season.

It was fantastic to see so many players, families, friends, and club members come together to celebrate the achievements, development, and commitment shown by all of our junior players throughout the season.

A huge thank you to our players, parents and guardians, coaches, and volunteers who make the New Brighton Rugby Club junior section such a special place. Your dedication and support is what makes our club thrive.

We're also incredibly grateful to Neo Community for their continued support on Sundays, providing our players and families with the best post-match food around! 🥙💪

It was an emotional occasion for our Under 11s, who said goodbye to the girls in the squad as they move on in line with RFU age-grade rugby regulations. While we'll miss seeing them in the team, we're delighted to be working towards launching our very own Under 12 Girls team next season, giving them the opportunity to continue their rugby journey at New Brighton.

Planning for next season is already well underway, and there's plenty to look forward to. We can't wait to see our juniors continue to develop, grow, and enjoy their rugby journey.

It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our devoted former President, Peter Hartley, earlier this month.

Peter gave so much to the club over many years and will be remembered with great affection by all who knew him. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this difficult time.

Peter’s funeral will take place at St Peter’s Church, Lower Heswall, at 11:00am on Friday 29th May, followed by a gathering at The Deeview Hotel.
