What is the purpose of a lifting belt ❓

Are they necessary? - hmm not massively however if you’re going up the ranks with weights and as I say compounds it might be worth trying one for an extra bit of protection minimising the risk of injury

That’s no starter, no dessert, just a main and two drinks

Why am I showing you this?

To show you how easy calories can mount up 👆

Doesn’t mean Nando’s is bad, just means you’ve got to consider the calories in what you’re consuming to be able to hit your daily/weekly calorie goal & be heading towards your goals

There’s different ways of consuming, For example - say my daily calorie goal was 1200 (which it’s not usually but for this instance it is) 1,520 (Nando’s meal) would mean I’ve had an extra 320 calories over my goal which means I’m not in a deficit anymore, resulting in no weight loss

How would we get around this?..

👆 This is a great analogy 👆

If I had a £ for the amount of times I’ve heard people say

“I just want to lose some stomach fat”

“I just want to lose some off my arms”

I’d be a millionaire..

Unfortunately that’s just not how the human body reacts, for body fat loss to work and be sustainable it can’t be spot reduced

It takes investment & sacrifice which leads to results (don’t get investment and sacrifice confused with obsession, you don’t have to be obsessed but you do have to invest some sort of time and work rate) 📈

Walking - something so simple but so beneficial as well. 🚶‍♀️

The great thing about walking is it’s great for all levels of fitness.

You can make it as challenging as you want.
Slower to start off, then as you progress walk a bit faster, maybe walk on different gradients bringing more challenge to it.

Pair of head phones, a bit of sun, scenery, some fresh air and you’re sorted ✅

Let’s talk Protein shakes 🥛

Protein shakes are a supplement designed to help you reach your protein goals, they help promote muscle growth and recovery.

There are many different types you can get in this day and age i’m seeing more and more options.

The likes of whey protein, isolate, mass gainers, pea protein, vegan protein and so on.

Your goal would depend on which protein you choose, it’s always worth reading the protein content, serving amount and the calories when you buy protein so you can compare what’s best for you.

These shakes aren’t a necessity however they provide a very big help & convenience when trying to reach targets.

I would still try and get your main meals consumed and just use protein shakes as a form of snack.
