ABOUT REAL RACING
Driver Wayne Lockey has a proven record of success with many wins and lap records to his name. With an experienced pair of passengers lined up for the 2022 season, we are making exciting moves forward. Benjamin Binns will be joining the team for the FSRA British Championship and Matthew Rostron will be alongside Wayne for the TT and Southern 100, both on the Isle of Man. The tea
m will undoubtedly be aiming for the podium positions but will be focused on doing their best and enjoying a fast and safe season. The two major races on the Isle of Man will be the main focus of Real Racing’s 2022 season and both the TT and Southern 100 benefit from extensive TV and Radio coverage. ITV 4 will once again be showing race highlights of the TT during race week and it’s expected that Eurosport will show the Southern 100. Wayne’s reputation for his bike preparation is second to none and the outfit will have everything it needs to make it a genuine contender for that top spot with the help of Ben and Matty. We have a tremendous support network around us, sponsors and friends alike, but all sharing the same passion for the sidecar races. TV footage from the TT is shown World wide, in keeping with the International flavour of the event, and it’s been estimated that the TT has been seen in a billion households across 140 countries. All major racing on the Isle of Man is broadcast live on Manx Radio and made available online reaching a global audience. Real Racing’s exploits will be followed by a photojournalist from Gloucestershire’s two daily papers, which between them reach homes throughout the county and are seen by upwards of 200,000 people. There is also the possibility of coverage in the national fortnightly publication BSN which specialises in the coverage of motor cycle racing throughout Britain and abroad. Last but definitely not least, motor cycle racing has a strong spectator following, especially at the Isle of Man, where upwards of 30,000 visitors are expected. The Southern 100 has become hugely popular with rapidly increasing visitor numbers and is now one of the most important races on the sidecar calendar. The potential exists for huge advertising exposure via TV, Radio, Print Media and event spectators. Helping Wayne find the extra performance needed to compete with the best in the business is where your help as a potential backer will be needed. Sidecar racing is an exciting, unusual and above all, friendly sport and the outfits have plenty of fairing space on which company names and brands can be displayed. Future Plans
Real Racing’s plans for 2022 will be centred on the Isle of Man TT once again, where Wayne hopes to build on previous experience and hopefully improve on previous top ten finishes, in what is now arguably the most famous race in the World. Wayne will also return to the Southern 100, the scene of his finest hour in pure road racing. Wayne undoubtedly has the talent to compete with the best on the roads but needs the right backing to help fulfil his potential. On the short circuits, the plan is to contest the British Formula 2 championship, held on some of the most prestigious circuits in the country, Wayne and Ben will be up against some of the cream of sidecar racers.
