🏁 **WHAT A WEEKEND AT SILVERSTONE!** 🏁
I took a little break from my own team, JCPERFORMANCE this weekend to head down to Silverstone and lend a hand to my mate and the brilliant crew at Team VSR for the Nankang City Car Cup.
To say it was a rollercoaster of an event is an understatement—amazing, fast, and ultimately a bit heartbreaking!
Here is how the weekend unfolded:
⏱️Qualifying:
We qualified in a fantastic position! The car was looking incredibly strong coming into the weekend after a few custom setup adjustments we made over at JCPERFORMANCE.
🏁 Race 1:
We were on a flyer, but unfortunately, contact from another driver forced us off track, sending VSR right to the back of the grid for the next grid start.
🏁 Race 2:
An absolute mega start! We made up a massive 10 positions in no time. But luck wasn’t on our side—hitting a slippery patch on the track caused a spin, which unfortunately led to a collision with another car and an early DNF.
The Silver Lining:
Even though the final results on paper aren't what we wanted, the positives we are taking away from this weekend are huge. The driver, Tom, has gained massive confidence in the car. With the new alignment completely nailed, the car was absolutely on fire into the corners and beautifully controlled down the high-speed straights. 🔥
The boys at Team VSR have got a bit of homework and some spanner-spinning to do before the next round, but we have 100% faith.
