A little reminder to myself as much as anyone else…

I’ve been a bit quieter recently.

Not because I’ve stopped. Not because I’ve given up. Not because nothing is happening.

Sometimes life requires a reset.

A chance to step back, clear your head, spend time outdoors, focus on what matters, and come back with more energy than before.

The thing I’m learning is that resilience isn’t about never having bad days. It’s about how quickly you can find your way back after them.

So if you’ve had a setback, missed a workout, fallen off track, made a mistake, or simply needed some space…

Reset.

The goal was never perfection. The goal was always to keep moving forward. 🚴‍♀️

What helps you hit reset when life gets a bit noisy?

A little reminder:

When life gets heavy, it’s okay to step back for a while.

You’re not running away.
You’re not switching off from the world.
You’re not quitting.

You’re healing.

You’re spending time in nature.
You’re recovering.
You’re taking a breath.
You’re figuring things out.

Life isn’t a race to see who can keep going the longest without stopping.

Sometimes you need a moment to reset so you can come back stronger and more aligned than before.

The rhythm will return.

Trust it.

A few years ago, I spent a lot of time waiting.

Waiting until I felt more confident.
Waiting until I knew more.
Waiting until I felt ready.

The problem is, confidence doesn’t magically arrive one day.

It gets built.

Through showing up.
Through trying things.
Through saying yes to opportunities that feel slightly outside your comfort zone.

Every event, every race, every conversation and every experience has helped me become a little more confident than I was before.

Not because it was easy.

Because I did it anyway.

The version of me from a few years ago wouldn’t recognise half the things I do now.

That’s exactly why I keep saying yes.

What’s one thing you’ve been putting off until you feel “ready”?

Apparently my business involves:

🚨 Finding people who feel stuck

🚨 Introducing them to ambitious humans

🚨 Exposing them to dangerous amounts of personal development

🚨 Encouraging them to dream bigger

🚨 Watching them become completely unrecognisable

Guilty as charged. 🙋🏼‍♀️

All jokes aside, the biggest change this business gave me wasn’t travel or income.

It was confidence.

Confidence to back myself.
Confidence to try new things.
Confidence to stop waiting for “someday.”

And that’s something I’ll always be grateful for.

Have you ever had a moment, person, or opportunity that changed the way you saw yourse

The version of me 2 years ago wouldn’t believe this.

Not because of the swim.
Not because of the bike.
Not because of the run.

Because she wouldn’t have believed she was capable of becoming this person.

The person who signs up.
The person who shows up.
The person who keeps going when things get hard.

Blenheim wasn’t my fastest race.
It wasn’t my biggest achievement.

But every start line is a reminder of how far I’ve come.

Confidence doesn’t come first.

It comes from doing the things you once thought you couldn’t.

Me: “Would you rather I had toned abs or a big booty?”

My husband: “I’d just like you to be nice to me.”

Brutal.

So now I’m training for:
🏊 Better swimming
🍑 Better glutes
😇 Better attitude

One of those is definitely the hardest. 😂

Who’s been humbled by their partner recently? 👇

I exercise for my husband.

Not because he asked me to.
Not because he cares what size jeans I wear.
Not because I’m trying to become a Victoria’s Secret model at 38.

I exercise because exercise gives you endorphins.

And endorphins make you happy.

Happy people are far less likely to end up on an episode of Dateline.

So really, this is a public service.

Funny how one day in the right room can change your perspective.

Yesterday wasn’t about learning some secret formula.

It was a reminder that growth comes from who you’re around, what you’re listening to, and the standards you’re willing to hold yourself to.

Because the truth is, most people know what they need to do.

The gap isn’t knowledge.
The gap is action.

You can attend the training.
Take the notes.
Listen to the podcast.
Read the book.

None of it changes anything unless you actually move.

Momentum isn’t found.
It’s created.

Really grateful for the conversations, the lessons, and the reminder that I’m exactly where I need to be right now.

Onwards 🚀
