Working hard so my children don't fear hard work.
Today was another long ride as I continue preparing for my Half Ironman triathlon. The miles are tough. The weather isn't always ideal. Some days motivation is high, other days it's discipline that gets the job done.
But this journey is about more than crossing a finish line.
I don't want my children to grow up believing that success should be easy.
I want them to see that meaningful goals require effort, consistency, resilience, and patience.
I want them to understand that being uncomfortable isn't something to avoid...
It's often where growth happens.
Every early morning, every training session, every challenge overcome is another opportunity to lead by example.
I'm not training for a Double Ironman because it's easy.
I'm doing it because I want my children to see what is possible when you commit to something difficult and refuse to quit.
And that's exactly the mindset I help other parents build in their own health and fitness journey.
Strong parents raise strong families.
