TennisStringer.co.uk TennisStringer.co.uk is an online retailer specialising in the provision of strings, grips and accessories for tennis, squash and badminton.

We also restring tennis and squash racquet, based in WN8 West Lancashire. Just as the coffee machine is where many discussions occur at work, we find that many players see their racquet stringer as the person to discuss their game with. With this in mind, we decided to launch TennisStringer.co.uk in 2007 with the aim of providing an online 'racquet stringer' service - not only restringing racquets

, but also selling strings, grips and accessories, providing advice to players about their game in general and coaching advice. Our staff have extensive knowledge of stringing (tennis, squash and badminton), experience of playing and coaching at a national standard and also years of experience as consultants within both youth sport and professional sport. We pride ourselves in our level of service and our team of stringers, coaches and players are on hand to answer any questions you may have.

Interesting facts about the French Open

The French Open has been the only major played on clay courts since 1978, when the US Open changed to hard courts. Clay is the slowest tennis court surface, as the fine layer of red clay dust on the topmost reduces the ball speed and causes it to bounce much higher when compared with hard courts and grass courts. For this specificity, the clay surface takes away some of the advantages of big servers and serve and volleyers, making it harder for these types of players to dominate on the surface.
