The player of the day for Saturday went to Hannah b.
I asked the ref for her choice and her reasoning, she said
"thought she had some great drives, good hands and never gave up!".
Hannah has overcome some difficulties this year and this really sums her up. She's never given up determined to get back to full fitness and able to tackle. Watch out for her in black shorts soon.

🏃‍♀️💙 OUR VERY OWN LOUISE IS RUNNING THE GREAT NORTH RUN! 💙🏃‍♀️

This Sunday, our very own Louise will be taking on the incredible Great North Run — but she’s not just running for the finish line. She’s running for two very special people. ❤️

Louise is running in memory of her father-in-law, Ged, and her dad, Bob, who both sadly lost their lives to the awful disease that is dementia.

Having to watch two people she loved dearly deteriorate and change into someone they no longer recognised was absolutely heartbreaking. 💔 Dementia doesn’t just affect the person diagnosed — it impacts the whole family, creating memories and moments that stay with you forever.

This Sunday, Louise will be putting one foot in front of the other in their memory, hoping to raise as much money as possible for Alzheimer’s Society. 🏃‍♀️💙

The Alzheimer’s Society works towards a world where dementia no longer devastates lives — supporting those living with dementia today while providing hope for the future.

So let’s get behind our girl! 👏💪

Every donation, no matter how big or small, will help Louise reach her fundraising goal and support the amazing work of Alzheimer’s Society.

Some cracking games against Leyland Warriors - Women Masters, Thatto Heath Crusaders Women’s Masters and Blackpool belles womans masters rugby league.
We played through all sorts of weather but loved every minute.

Another Cumbrian lady is ready to take on the Masters challenge! 💪🏉

At 45 years young, Amy is swapping touch rugby for the full-contact action as she gets ready to pull on the Masters shorts! 🔥

But this isn’t Amy’s first taste of rugby league…

Back in her 20s, Amy enjoyed a 7-year rugby league career with the now sadly defunct Copeland Wildcats. During that time, she went on to earn North West honours and caught the eye of the England setup, making it into the England Talent Development Squad and being named in the training squad. 🇬🇧👏

Unfortunately, an England cap never came her way, and Amy hung up her rugby league boots at 30.

Fast forward 15 years and the rugby bug clearly never went away! 😍

These days, Amy plays touch rugby with the Arcledon Ewes, but now she’s ready to step back into the world of rugby league and see what Masters is all about! 🏉💥

We absolutely love seeing players coming back to the game, trying something new and proving that age is just a number!

So let’s give a huge Atoms welcome to our latest debutant…

Jolene has been to a couple of training sessions with us after being dragged along by her bestie Claire 😂 — and what started as “I’ll just come along and see what it’s like” has quickly turned into “Right, get me on that pitch!” 👊🏉

A complete rugby novice, Jolene has thrown herself into training, embraced the chaos and decided she’s ready to get those boots on and make her Masters debut! 🔥

And there’s no better way to start than by stepping out in the GOLD SHORTS! 🥇💛
