And so the curtain is finally drawn on our 2025/2026 season. A thoroughly enjoyable day yesterday celebrating all of the teams at Lancaster City Juniors.👏

Well done to all of our individual winners on the day, and we've included our previous 'Player of the Month' winners too. In truth some of the most difficult decisions of the season came in choosing yesterday's individual trophy winners.💙

We were also pleased to be able to award our 2nd place trophies given to us by our league, further rewarding our girls' efforts. In such a tight finish we again reiterated how every action on the field matters, whether a goal in a defeat or strong tackle in defence. You've all made a difference, to every last goal scorer and every goal line clearance.⭐️

A pleasure to also see presentations from our other girls teams, well done to all. We'll see you all in pre season!👍

Our last training session as an U13 team - possibly the warmest session ever!🌞

We were due to finish last week but as we had a friendly we carried on into half term to welcome down Kayleigh to run with us as part of her fundraising for defibrillators for Has2behappy.💙

With the heat as it was the girls did great, and even found the energy to play a couple of mini matches afterwards! We are in the hills again this summer raising money for our wonderful team!💙

This time a number of us will be trekking to raise money to keep our team training over the winter months, and for a surprise piece of new kit...

Some of the money donated last summer also allowed us to buy our very own shelter for matchdays, and Player of the Month trophies. We couldn't have run this team without our wonderful supporters so if you could donate, absolutely any amount would be hugely appreciated!👍

A fun evening yesterday in a friendly match involving girls from across all 3 juniors teams.💙

Played in great spirit, it was good to see players from different teams playing together, with different formations and ways of playing tried throughout. There was still a competitive edge, great effort shown by all.👍

We have also had our 2nd place confirmed in an U14s league this week. Since this team's formation the girls have had to overcome adversity on numerous occasions and have done so smiling and with determination, never complaining and improving season on season. They should be so proud of themselves.💙

Following our match last week we named our final 'Player of the Month' for the season. Daisy M deservedly took home the award. A tricky month for the whole team with various injuries and a number of away matches, but Daisy showed character and lead our midfield admirably throughout.⭐️

We're lucky to have such a great group of girls and Daisy is always encouraging of all of her team mates. A trustworthy character to have around. Well done Daisy.💙

With the final match of our regular season now completed we are inviting girls to come and join our team! We will be training for at least the next 3 Tuesdays at our Giant Axe pitches before our summer break, with a friendly planned for 1 of those sessions.

The final match of the regular season saw us travel the short way to Ryelands Park to face Lancaster Giants in a 2pm kick off. A nice afternoon for football saw us come away with a very good win, we produced some great attacking football in both halves with goals being shared right across our front line!👍

Starting the match quickly, Ellie put us 1 to the good with a sparkling run and finish down the right hand side. For a short while afterwards we let our standards drop slightly, and Giants found a way back into the match with a well taken goal from outside the area. Anna got us going again with an accurate strike to put us 2-1 up🎯, a hugely deserved goal for such a hardworking and likeable character in our team. We found a couple more before half time, with Daisy M and Ivy C producing excellent finishes as the match entered the final 10 minutes completing the scoring.⚽️It has to be said that the Lancaster Giants defence and goalkeeper put in some great work today.

Our player of the match could have gone to a few today, but it was Ellie that earned it through her great work down both sides of the field and confident tackling when required.💪We also saw our 'Player of the Month' for April going to Daisy M. A strong and vocal player on the pitch, and an awesome person off it. Definitely someone who will give everything for her team mates.💙

If this was to be our last match of the season, we would like to thank everybody who has supported us throughout the campaign! Keep your eyes peeled over the coming days and weeks, there's always something going on with this team...

A wonderful morning at the William Smith Festival seeing girls from all over the area competing for their respective schools.👍We were happy to help organise and support the event. Congratulations to St Bernadette's for winning the girls section in the morning, and to Dallas Road for winning the boys section in the afternoon.⚽️

A fixture up at Burton Thistle yesterday to play Carnforth Blues, and another close encounter between the sides.

With both teams at close to full strength it was another meeting where defences came out on top. A tense first half saw few opportunities with both sides enjoying spells of pressure, Joy and Emily showing some good touches for us down either side of the pitch.⚽️

The second half saw neither side willing to give up any ground. Jenny made a great save to deny Carnforth midway through, an overall performance and clean sheet to be proud of! As the match entered the final stages we again gained the upper hand, putting their goal under a fair bit of pressure. With Ivy C perhaps unlucky not to be awarded a penalty as time ticked on, a draw was a deserved result for both teams.

We showed great determination and discipline throughout, prolonging our unbeaten record away in Carnforth since our team's formation. Well done girls, plenty to take and learn from yesterday's match.💙
