Today we travelled to Padanaram, Forfar to take on Results Gym FC
With conditions great for football it was a sloppy first 10/15 minutes for the lads. going 1 down with a shot from the edge of the box that took a wicked deflection. In a mad spell of 10 minutes where we found ourselves 3-0 down.
But after that the team got going and began to dominate the game with the first real chance coming from a Murray cross to other winger Matt who did well to out jump his defender but headed over. But with the ball getting knocked about well, we got our first goal back when a long ball into the box was deflected into the path of Baba who headed home past the keeper. 3-1
Moments later Centre back and captain Blair took a couple of touches and unleashed a rocket from 30 yards, which flashed by the keeper with a slight deflection. 3-2 ht
Into the second half and a early injury for debutant Jack who was leading the line very well, was a sucker blow. Followed soon by a knock to Brad who had too also come off.
But the team still had loads of the ball and many chances and on another day should of had more goals, but just the final ball or decision was missing.
Results had couple efforts from the edge of the box but safe hands by Jamie in goal making no mistake with them.
The best effort for the home side was a freekick from the edge of the box, but again Jamie made a good save and keeping it out.
One final moment in stoppage time would come, with the ball bouncing about in the box, Matt was away to find the net. But the defender whipped out Matt.. but decision was remarkably no penalty. Ft3-2
Plenty positives to take from the team today, with some tidy football played. Our next match is at home on Sunday vs Andreous in the Scottish Cup.
