Congratulations to MTC's Singles/Doubles team, winners and promotion secured in Division 2, pictured left to right- Scott Henderson, Orin Forbes (team captain), Eddie and Callum.

Orin has enjoyed 3 years as captain, 3 league wins, 3 undefeated seasons.

Many thanks to those pictured as well as Robin Kerr, Chris Pearson, Stephen West, Duncan Lyall, Andy Baxter, Hannah and Richard Henderson.

Up to Division 1 next year.

The Girls Only Group had their usual tennis session today with Gregor, Amy and Carolyn then spent time in the club decorating cupcakes.

If you're a girl in S1-S6 you can join us on Fridays 1.45pm-2.30pm during term time - it's fun and it's free!

WALKING TENNIS & CAKE CLUB.🎂🎾
New adult session starting this Monday.
Sessions will be 45/50mins on court followed by a cuppy & cake in the clubhouse.

Our Girls Only group continues on FRIDAY 11 SEPTEMBER with a tennis session from 1.45-2.30pm, then some time in the club house for snacks and socialising. FREE and for all girls in S1-S6.

Montrose 4 travelled to David Lloyd’s in Monifieth yesterday to play their rescheduled Henderson Vase tie .
Each pairing won 3 sets out of 4 to record a 9-3 win and put the team in joint second place along with Scone and Broughty Ferry 2 , who they have still to play in the remaining 2 rescheduled fixtures.
Team was Sophie & Simon , Jules & Liam and David & Jenny .

🏆 CLUB CHAMPIONSHIPS 2026 🏆
What a fantastic finals day! This will be a long post but please read until the end and share your experience or show your appreciation for our volunteers and players in the comments.

🎾 Thanks to the competition organisers Richard Henderson and Graeme Walker, the tournament's success is down to all their behind-the-scenes hard work and they're still smiling!

🍔 Cheers to Andy Baxter who BBQ'd his way through 100 burgers, 5kg of sausages and more bacon than we could count.

🫖 Thank you to our kitchen helpers Barbara, Gillian B, Gillian M, Jen, June, Lyn and Rhona for the constant supply of refreshments and keeping the kitchen spotless.

🍰 We really appreciated all the baking and sweets treats that so many of you donated, thank you. There were no leftovers so you must have enjoyed them too!

😊 Heartfelt thanks to all the spectators for staying around all day - you created a brilliant atmosphere at the club and made it exciting for the competitors.

🏆 Congratulations to all our competitors, finalists and to the champions - you entertained us all with your tennis and we hope you're inspired to take part again next year!
